re: Wisconsin looked awful last night
Posted by BuccWildBammer on 8/31/24 at 6:16 am
O still looks like its stuck in the mud. Relying on power and pounding type of play calling and the OL isn't cohesive yet....its good that we will play them early in the year IMO
The biggest thing the Wisc game will tell us is the level of preparedness of the Staff and starters and the new starters ability to play in a hostile environment. I'm not worried about Milroe but its early and Camp Randall isn't a cake walk.

No Jordan Addison
re: Left tackle Kadyn Proctor has made great strides.
Posted by BuccWildBammer on 12/10/23 at 9:38 am
Proctor seems to be absolutely A OK with a power rush guy and guys who try to make a spin or push move on him. What he really struggled with early on is the smaller quick bendy speed guys and that is a common thing for younger guys and new starters. He has gotten better and learned to trust his footwork and back pedal (It is sort of like an "AHA" moment for most guys realizing they are Bad arse MFers that can step into a guy, knock him off track and trust your other inside OL or RBs to chip etc). It is a product of HS Defenses only throwing limited schemes at guys.
Roberts is really good at Inside G in pass pro and don't see much development so far in run blocking and sad thing about that is he has the body to be a Mauler and again needs to trust his foot work.
McLaughlin has blossomed in run blocking into a Mauler and he has issues obviously with snapping but he has graded out so well each game that you don't take him out. He made the interior OL of UGA look like rag dolls
JMHO.....I know TL;DR

re: Fantasy playoff help! Need to start 2 of these 3 RBs…

Start all 3
I'd say White had the toughest match but he's pretty much proven the last month he can produce despite the D.
I feel like Mixon is going to have a busy day.
Indy runs the crap out of the ball so that's a good match up too

Pick 1 WR to start - PPR
Posted by BuccWildBammer on 12/10/23 at 8:26 am
Jayden Reed vs NYG (leaning toward starting him with Watson possibly out)
Thielen vs NO (He's burned me the last two weeks. The O is just so brutal)
Addison vs LV
I have Hill at my other WR need 1 more so who should I start?

Why is that a "big if?" Man, a lot of you are wayyyyy higher on UGA than I am.
UGA is by far the best OL Alabama will play this year. Their QB is just OK for sure...but Bowers is a HUGE problem on O. He makes any QB look way better (think the effect Mike Evans had at aTm for Johnny Manziel). Bama's front 4 has taken over games and the O gets the opponent in a hole to make up allowing the D to feast. UGA can shorten the game with a pretty competent run game. They are the defending NC on a 20 whatever winning streak. It is just a very tough game for Bama. I am very proud of this Bama team and what they have accomplished up to this point and I will root for them for sure on Dec 2nd but it will be a very tough task....that is all I meant.

....IF (BIG IF) Bama beats UGA they will be the #4 team since Mich and tOSU play each other. There is no way the committee leaves out the SEC CG Winner even with 1 loss
Bama and UGA both have to win out for this to be the case. Resume is way better than anybody on the West Coast.

How are y'all feeling about the class so far? Haven't been around here too much.
Was listening to jox the other day...maybe it was Rodney Orr as a guest. Anyways, he seemed to think Saban was really going to hit the portal hard this upcoming period.
I could see that...sadly I can only see it getting crazier and crazier
re: Tailgating tips in Lexington?
Posted by BuccWildBammer on 10/29/23 at 6:31 pm
Bourbon lol
But really.......we went to visit the trail late September and stayed a week and spent a day in Louisville and a few days in Lexington.
A good place we found to eat if you like BBQ was a place called City Barbecue, really good quality food.
If you have time, Makers Mark has a really nice facility and awesome tours and tastings. Wilderness Trail Distillery was also an awesome tour and tasting (heavy pours and a few extra pours when we visited)
In Louisville there were several distilleries on Whiskey Row right by Riverside. Old Forester and Rabbit Hole are both good ones. Good place to eat that was neat was on a little street off the Row walking over to the River called Troll Pub under the Bridge it was an affordable sports bar.
Hope you enjoy!!

Yeah I am just saying that because it IS Allen

12-team PPR
Up 20 points with G. Wilson left, opp has J. Allen
It'd take a miracle I'm thinking but cautiously optimistic!
How about you guys?

Got the Casserole for the kids and wifey about to go in the oven. Contrary to popular belief... The sun DID come up this morning after the beat down Texas handed to Bama
Rather pleasant weather this morning. It's starting to feel like Fall in Alabama.
How goes it SEC OTers?

12-Team PPR
I am set at every position except flex.....
Pick 1:
C. Kirk - Jax @ Indy
J. Cook - Buf @ Jets
J. Addison - Min vs. TB
I'm leaning Kirk since I know he'll be back at slot and can thrive...and Indy secondary is hot garbage. I'm worried about Cook vs Jets front and Addison is the total wild card of this group.
Aaahhh the joys of Week 1

Defense eagles or Washington?
Washington all the way. Possibly the best scoring D this week. I dropped the Bucs D I drafted and added them for the upside this week.

Likely or Musgrave PPR?
I like Musgrave as having a sneakily good week. He's had a great camp and Love likes the shorter to intermediate throws. I don't think Monken is in love with heavy TE usage, couple that with his top TE being out. I know Likely showed some promise last year but I believe today's gp for Balt will be more run heavy with Dobbins back 100%
So yeah I'd go with Wash D and Musgrave.

Pick 1 WR and 1 Flex to start
PPR
Half point per carry
1 point per 10 return yards
Jahan Dotson vs ARI
Marvin Mims Jr vs LV (Jeudy likely out)
Javonte Williams vs LV
Antonio Gibson vs ARI
I agree on both Williams and Gibson
I would start Dotson for sure (wanted him in my league but he went too high) he will be a target monster.
I think Mims will have a better chance at getting you points with PPR and Jeudy now ruled out.
I need to see both RBs workload/involvement in the O before I feel comfortable starting Williams and you are right about Robinson, he's a workhorse/GL vulture for Wash.

I was the only one in the league that took a QB with their top 2 picks
That is a growing trend this year...I remember a few years ago we roasted a guy in a league for drafting a QB (Mahomes I think) at his end of the 2nd round pick lol and it was probably his best team he has had (his teams are notoriously bad every year). This year I had one of my work friends join our league and drafted Mahomes 1.12 and based off point totals QBs rack up now...I get it
