re: Football Recruiting & Roster
Yeah I wish somebody had more of a scoop on this kid. weird that rivals has him as a 5 star and 247 has him outside top 200

Haven't heard a thing. Makes me think it's a good sign. If it were serious, surely it would have leaked by now. And a torn meniscus (if it's even that) isn't a huge deal, usually. Would be ready to play by early September, anyway, I'd think. It's NOTHING like an ACL.

I saw a tweet from someone in the sports world that said something similar to an MCL. So 4-6 weeks of rehab. Not sure if they had to do surgery or not.

Thought this was interesting.

quote:

four programs – LSU, Alabama, Ohio State and the Sooners – could sign over half of the top 20 receivers in the 2021 cycle. If LSU lands Thomas, the Tigers would have commitments from four of the current top 10. Alabama could potentially sign four of the current top 15 or 16 if they were to land Thomas or Johnson.

re: Football Recruiting & Roster
Regarding Kaho's injury: I have hands on experience with meniscus tears. The severity depends on: 1. how big the tear is (it can be anything between 1-100%), 2. where the tear is (on the side, in the middle, i.e. can they easily access it and cut the tear, etc.) and 3. the direction of the tear (horizontal, vertical).
I had a 10% tear on the side, which could easily be 'fixed'. The surgeon cut off the loose cartillage and it was done. I can pretty much still do everything I did before. But my wife has a complicated horizontal tear. No idea what Kaho has and what it means that he's wearing a brace. Hope he can return to 100% soon.

Yeah, but since it's based on the Top247 instead of the Composite, it also points to the problem that there are some huge discrepancies between 247, Rivals and ESPN recruit ratings.

Really shocked 247 has Brooks as a 94. Hope they re-evaluate him. He might be the top WR if they bump him

Recovery time between meniscectomy and a repair vary greatly. The repair takes a longer time to heal.

Yeah it’s unfortunate but 247 is becoming as bad as everyone else with their evaluations. It’s all “political” aka who goes to certain camps, who isn’t committed etc. I know it’s a business but it’s ridiculous. I’ll never forget they have Matt Elam a 5 star

Hard to argue with Elam film and the thought that he would be on the defensive line like Terrence Cody. To bad he made the wrong choice.

re: Football Recruiting & Roster
I stand by that 247 ranked him that high because they were trying to prove themselves still and he was a "5 star" they found before anyone else did. Rivals only made him a 4* close to the end, and they got hammered mercilessly for not doing it sooner. Yet they were right.

He was a 2 down lineman playing in a state that's not known for football, and really only fit 1 scheme(his offers reflect that).

I think he would've did well at Bama. KY put him on the offensive line smh.

Jackson might be on hold as of now. We'll see what happens in a couple weeks. Bama still feels really good about Koolaid and Marshall. Not looking like they'd take all 3 at this moment.
