I understand those that I’ve said that they followed the rulebook, and that’s fine, I’m not going to argue that side either way. It’s a stupid rule, but if it’s a rule, so be it.

My question is..

What is the shortstop supposed to do in that situation? She had to move to catch the ball and because of that the runner slid into her.

The runner was tagged out before her legs even had the opportunity to be blocked.

Are you only allowed to stand behind the bag and put the glove on the other side of the base? I legit don’t understand.

Should the shortstop do a front flip after she catches the ball and tag her as she is flipping over the player or would that also be obstruction?

I was saying you need for the ball to bounce your way to win it all, and in 2023 it did exactly that, so it's possible for it to happen again.. or for Arkansas, or whoever it ends up winning it all..
