18-2 Tennessee (25-5)
18-2 Texas ??

Both Vandy and Tennessee got bounced in Super Regionals.. Our pitching is good enough, but our hitting is not.. If we get Max and Jonah back, perhaps that changes..

It’s weird though. We aren’t hot.. we just find different ways to win.. We’ve won 17 weekend series in a row going back to last year..

We’ll be tough in a SR or CWS Final if we get there.. but the Regionals and the 1st part of Omaha will be really tough for us to escape.. if that makes sense.

2 & Q is probably our ceiling imo if our bats don’t get better..

I’ve been saying for a while that we have a good team, but I think our ceiling is likely SR or 2 & Q, Someone is gonna catch one of our pitchers on a bad night or two..

But if we get Max, Mendoza & Jonah back in the lineup and all playing the field, we’ll have a better chance to go further than that.. our bats struggle bigly against above average to elite pitching..

Lots of swing and misses with their heads pulled out and just guessing at the pitch.. some are better than others, but we mostly just figure out how to score just enough.. and that approach works until it doesn’t..

Chris Beard from Tech to Texas although that rivalry is further down on our list.. but we’re prob #1 on their list.

Rick Pitino and Nick Saban are close to fitting that narrative, but they didn’t leave straight for the other school.

Schloss from TCU to A&M isn’t all that different now that I think about it.. TCU and A&M aren’t really rivals in football, but I’d say they are in baseball..

Texas Football = Oklahoma then A&M

Texas Baseball = A&M & LSU then OU for me, but i’m sure others will have a different opinion. I expect Arkansas to be one of the Top 3 quick.. maybe this year,

I know that all of you are pissed that Schloss left, but I have even seen some go as far to say that he intentionally lost the CWS last year since he knew he was leaving for Texas.. This is complete bologna imo.. If he had 10 rings, maybe I'd listen, but the dude has 0 rings.. there is no way he lost that series with TN on purpose, and I'm not even sure a coach could pull that off if he tried..

Anyways.. I do have some questions for the Aggies.

Are you pissed because he left or are you pissed because of the way he left right after the CWS? I truly don't understand why someone would be pissed about the latter..

Did you want him to step down in April when he accepted the position at Texas? You guys had a legit chance at a title and that would have been far worse for your chances to win it all.

In your opinion, how could he have handled it differently where it would have been considered acceptable? I know you'd be pissed either way, but some of the hate is crazy that I have seen..
