FSU’s got reported at $265 mil (and reducing capacity to 55k)

Bama’s most recent project was $107 mil.

UGA’s stadium project is two phases totaling $80 mil.

Why does Florida need $400-$500 million for their stadium renovation?

Is that new stadium kitchen really worth that much?

because that place is a shithole. Not even sure 400 million is enough for the swamp to be fixed.

We are probably next in another year or so.

The university sent out a long survey last night to all bulldog club members asking all kinds of questions regarding stadium enhancements. Took me like 30 minutes to finish it.

Plan is to bowl in the other end zone and add a ton of suites, club level, loge boxes and even talk of doing apartments like we have in the baseball stadium. Also, chairback the entire stadium so we won’t be increasing capacity. The money is obviously in the premium seating options and we have a long wait list for that as is.

Because The Swamp is a heaping pile of shite. Should just drop a MOAB on the fricker and start from scratch. Probably cheaper than renovating

It’s large and dated. It needs the most work.

Don’t be surprised when these are the last of the mega facilities. Money will start going direct to players.

Money to NIL collectives can not be counted on taxes as a charity where has donating to a stadium reno can. I think the arms race for bigger and better will slow down but wont die off.

UNC put chairbacks in the whole stadium (except for the student section) and it reduced capacity by 11,500 seats.

Hence why Florida fans suck. Why are you crying in here about a stadium renovation when Billy is still allowed to coach there?

Neyland is a football cathedral and has the most intense game atmospheres keep hating though.

Looks like they will go from 82k to 55 or 62k for this year(not sure how temporary bleachers factor in). For 2025, they’ll be close to the final 70k.
KU is spending the same money to go from 47k to 40k.
Most stadium renovations(except Mizzou and likely SMU soon) involve sacrificing capacity for premium options rather than getting both. Even after adding a few thousand seats, the Zou won’t eclipse its all time high before previous sacrifices. Still, 15-20% is quite the haircut for FSU and KU considering the money being spent.

Impressive! I’ve been sick of bleachers since I was 22. I hate the Cowboys but going to Jerry World(Multiple Cotton bowl classics and B12 championships) is a dream with all the decent seats being padded chairs.

let’s see

The Uaa is wasting money on a stadium renovation no one likes instead of paying his buy out and hiring a real coach

And a big part of why that loser is still coaching at Florida is because fat Josh absolutely shite the bed and got his arse kicked by Billy last time they faced each other

Anyone expanding their stadium is dumb as shite. Less and less people are going to live sports.

You’re getting live sports confused with baseball.
Still, most teams need to sacrifice some seats for some big booster amenities.
