Perfect recruit for tenn. douchebag player to a douchebag program

So the best JUCO player in the country is a douchebag because he picked UT over LSU and told everyone the reason why? Would he had been a douchebag has he picked LSU or Arkansas and said the same thing about UT?
Now we know why Tennessee beat out LSU for one of the top recruits in the country. He is not wrong for Tennessee being the top team over the last 4 years. LSU time was the 90’s and now it’s the Vols time to take over the 2020’s.

est coach or not, I don’t get the warm fuzzies against Arky. They’re my pick to win it all.

Even if Arkansas wins this weekend, this seasons is still a success. The Vols have returned back to the Supers in a rebuilding/down year.

Since 2020 no team except for the Vols have returned to the Supers following their championship season. And for Tony V to do so after losing his entire starting rotation and 7 starting position players to the draft, I’d say that makes him the best Coach.

I could argue this may be his best coaching job since being a HC.

He said they just somehow always win in these late situation tight games in Baton Rouge.

It was fricking Little Rock, a 19 win regular season team.

I think if you’re the regional host you should be rewarded with home field in every game.

Maybe it’s because you suck. Getting your dick slapped by UTSA and then cry about not being home team while hosting is some next level bitch shite. But reality is that last time you played UTSA and you were the home team you lost to them. You are now 0-3 on the year to them. They won you!

All it boils down to is Texas was play its worst baseball and the wrong time. Last 5 games you are 2-3.

If you ask nicely, we will come and save you again like last time. But 2nd thoughts, go frick yourself.

How was it when you played there earlier, we were so scared we won the series and laughed at you .

You talking about a series a month ago that has no impact now?

June 2nd, 2019…

Is the last time Tennessee didn’t advance past a regional, Vitello’s 2nd year. They have since advanced to 5 straight super regionals since and Omaha 3 of the last 4 years.

The Vols are now 17-3 in Regionals since 2019, Tony V’s 2nd year and last time they lost multiple games in a Regional(UNC Regional).

Prior to last night June 1st, they hadn’t lost a regional game since 2019.

Say what you will, Tony V built a program that has been a model of what consistency in college baseball.

If you didn’t already know, you should now. He’s the best coach in college baseball.

You mean everybody but Tennessee, right?

See Tennessee is on your mind now that your getting BTA by Little Rock!
Nah I’m good! Hope all the SEC teams lose except for Tennessee and the Fighting Vitellos.

one likes Tennessee. Decision was made to send them to Baum to be taken care of.

If the ncaa baseball committee knew this was gonna happen, they would have most likely split them up. I actually thought UT should have been a 12 or 13 seed and not 14. The NCAA and City of Omaha would have made alot more money having both UT and Arkansas in Omaha than having just 1 of them.

WOW....Just BAD FUNDAMENTAL BASEBALL at home!!!!

I men’s technically they are not the home team for this game. Think it’s pretty damn funny not to be the home team playing in your home ball park in an elimination game.

Losing by 1 run isn’t a boat racing, dumbass

It’s fricking Murray State! Doesn’t matter if it’s by 10 or 1, it’s still just as badz

They will win and then get blasted in the supers. Sucks

And they won’t even care! They won 19 regular season games and will totally content if they win this regional. They may even celebrate all the way to the supers.

I'm sorry but Schloss is right if he's thinking eff this shite. Good TV, stupid tournament. How long has the SEC been doing this meaningless exercise.

Funny you guys think that he didn’t play any starters. I was at the game and seen personally 8 starters play their regular positions. Also seen your best 2 arms out of the pen pitch significantly, Grubs and Volantis. “Didnt want to win”. But pitched freshman of the year multiple innings to try and win”.

No one believes this, not if you are a top 4 seed. It might be true if you are seeded in the lower half.

Rather you believe it or not, it’s most definitely been talked about on live TV my these network clowns. And I know if I have personally heard them talk about it, I know you have heard it to. Rather it’s true or not, is irrelevant, but it has been said before.

Texas didn’t need this nor cares. Ole Miss needed a win or two to host.

Tennessee didn’t need it last year either as they were already the overall #1 seed no matter what. But all they did was go in last year win both the regular season and tournament and then went on to win the National Title.

Winning your conference should be memorable. But I do agree it does wear down teams to close to the ncaa tournament. I would be all for play less games in regular season and starting the SEC tournament a week earlier to give you a week between the conference tournament and your regionals.

Best freshman in the country, per you

At the time I made that statement he was. He was hitting like .485 and even experts at the time agreed he was the best freshman in the country. He hit a big slump once SEC play started and yet is still batting .340+.

quote:

You compared him to Paul Skenes.

He actually has a higher strike out rate that Skenes per 9 innings, that is still true.

What is also true is Skenes had better team around him. Also when I compared him to Skenes, he was dominating and that was none again early season.

quote:

You also said Tennessee has the best team in the country and the best pitching staff in the country.

Once again, the time I made this statement they did. They and the top ERA in the country and that’s a fact. Since then the Vols have struggled a little. But still doesn’t take away what they are capable of doing. The staff combined for 18 K’s today.

Your “midweek guy” who pitched in almost half of your SEC games

The only SEC games he pitched in where losses and got put in to eat up innings. He didn’t throw any significant SEC game. In fact he only pitched in 1 SEC game the Vols won which was Florida. Rest of his games where already out of hand and was sent into eat up innings. He got most of his work in midweek games.

I said what I said! My exact words said “may be as good”. Didn’t say they was and if i did I’m sure you could find it. But this team isn’t to far off of last years team as far as wins and losses go.

Through 58 games:
2024 record- 47-11
2025 record- 45-13

Numbers don’t lie!

Your second baseman was an AA last year.

He is still a freshman last year and sophomore this year.

Your center fielder is a 5th year senior.

Maybe, but he’s not getting drafted very high. And yet he’s the only senior that plays.

quote:

You can’t sign a team mostly from the portal and then call them “young.” They’re not young. They just haven’t been at Tennessee their whole career

3rd year players or not, most of these guys are 1st year starters.

LF- Bargo- 1st year starter
RF- Chapman- 1st year starter
C- Peebles- 1st year full time starter (split time last year).
DH- Clark- freshman (1st year starter)
SS/2nd- Kilen- great
2nd- Curley- sophomore
1st- Fischer- great
3rd- Marin- freshman
CF- Ensley- Freshman

5 players in this lineups at either freshman/1st year starters. Believe that classify as “young”. They have talent, no denying that. But they also have a lot of youth also.

Pitching-
Doyle- 1st year starter
Phillips- 1st year starter
Kuhns - Freshman
Arvidson- midweek guy
Snead- Junior
Russell- Junior (9 starts, 32 IP last 2 years total).

It’s a fact that this team has enough to win it all again if they play mistake free. But rather they can come together or not is still to be determined.
