Can we have a frank and honest conversation?

We were flat and uninspired yesterday, yes that's true. A L L of our glaring weaknesses were exposed against a solid Tennessee team.

In the trenches we got our shite pushed in..............AGAIN.

We cannot get the right plays called and the right personnel in the game.

We abandoned the run game.

Our QB holds the ball too long

Our receivers run to the same spot on the field and do not come back to their QB when he's in trouble

The little mis-direction step our RBs take on EVERY running play isn't fooling anybody.

The jet sweep hasn't worked since Marquize Maze ran it.

Cedarian Morgan and EJ's blocking cannot in any fashion of the word be that bad that it prevents them from seeing the field any more than they do.

Our receivers consistently turn around 1 yard short of the line to gain.

Grubbs west coast pussy football play calling with seemingly ZERO consideration for down and distance doesn't work outside of the Mountain West Conference

The defense cannot tackle my fat arse. I've been saying this for 3 years. Alabama has to be leading the nation in yards after contact. Our pad level is WAAAAAY too high. Metz and Brown are the only two remotely good tacklers on the team outside of the DL. They suck. ALL of them need to be forced to watch hours of tape of Reggie Ragland and Rolando McClain's tackling technique.

Why the frick is our secondary playing 8 yards off of the ball on 3rd and 4?

There seems to be ZERO adjustments on either side of the ball.

So what's the answer? Run off the whole lot of them? We cannot afford to.

Does Debo have the balls to get rid of Grubb? Doubtful

Even if we could afford it, who would we get?

Kirby lost to an unranked team

Sark lost with the most expensive roster in football

Cignetti lost with a top five roster

Lanning has multiple losses with a 40M roster

Lane? Bitch please

Freeman lost to freaking BYU

Cristobol only won because he got bailed out by a phantom holding call in overtime that brought back a score.

So what's the answer?

Grubb's contract expires in Feb '27.

Wommack needs to go as well.

Fantastic post. I think we were not prepared and sunk a bit after last week, on top of that I hate to say it but not having Coleman Williams hurt us out there and yes, alot of good teams lost. So ....if we can somehow win out the rest of the year is the goal.

Our offensive style isnt cut for the SEC. Players arent gonna show up every week in this money era. Its all on coaching now.

What concerns me about our admin decision making ability is they seem determined to make Deboer be a fit at Bama when he clearly isn't......I think in time Sumrall will turn Florida into a good team and he is physical.

You are 100 percent right... Cignetti, I give credit because they had won 22 games in a row.. A very solid roster, but it's so hard to keep these guys focused at this point with the agents, side jobs, etc that winning 5-6 games in a row without a monumental collapse is a big deal..

I don't think we can get Cignetti and I don't think Deboer is going anywhere. Sark has never won anything. The only guy that im even mildly curious about that I think we could get is Stein.

This is exactly my argument. None of the "top" coaches would be a serious upgrade over Deboer. Hell, even Kirby should have three losses right now.

IF we ended up canning him (which we aren't going to unless he loses 5 of the next 6 games), best option is probably gambling on an unknown. But you're gambling.

Truth is, our fans won't be satisfied until we find another Saban. They can claim "I just want a team that doesn't look soft"... but frick, every coach you listed tends to trot out a team that looks soft every two weeks.

People better brace themselves because we're about to embark on an Auburn like journey trying to find the next Saban as clearly nothing other than winning every week 90-0 is acceptable. Yeah, we shouldn't lose to shite Tennessee teams but in the age of NIL, it's unpreventable.

The cold hard truth is that college football has forever changed and we're not adapting to the change.

Saban saw it coming and got out. Hell he probably got out two years too late if we're being honest.

College football, especially SEC, is in a spot where parity is as high as it's ever been.
I'd thought looking at the schedule, UT was catching us at the right time, right after the emotionally, physically draining UGA game.
Deboer doesn't have the ability to get great effort out of our players each and every game, so with he as our coach, always will be a couple games we stunningly lose to an average program, fans storming field.
Regarding our OC, everyone knows his story, Seahawks fire him, go on win the Superbowl.
We have no offensive identity, will abandon the run for no reason at all, if it's 4th and a yard or less, forget about a QB sneak, tush push, not in dipshits playbook.
On the defensive side, yesterday had to be one of Kane's worse as our DC.
We're going against a team, with a check down, quick pass, very little downfield passing offense, due to UT's worry their QB would turn the ball over. Kane had our DB's playing 8 to 10 yards off of their WR's, making it easy for their complicated offense.
Yesterday was an embarrassment and what bothered me most is it seemed most of players had no interest in playing a football game.

If we're being honest, the players were replicating the emotions of our head coach. That's not a knock on Debo, that's a fact. Kane and Klemm were the only two coaches I saw with any emotion.

I'd say fire Grubb today and go from there.

DeBoer is going nowhere.

So what's the answer?

Go and watch the highlights from the 2012 SECCG as I did last night.

Notice the intensity of the game.
Notice the intensity of the fans and the environment - the passion and overall energy.
Notice the high level of QB play, the NFL-lite feel of the game, the high level of defensive play, and the overall talent level. Seeing Haha Clinton-Dix flying around hunting heads. Seeing big Eddie Lacy go beast-mode. Watching AJ McCarron to Amari Cooper. Watching DJ Fluker and Chance Warmack bulldoze people.
Notice how much better the announcers and production was.

Realize that it's all gone.
What we have now is merely a shell of what cfb used to be.

Find something better to do with your Saturdays.

Last week was a shitfest of poor football on both sides, and both teams lost to mediocre teams this week for a reason.

I implore you to do as I said. Go watch the highlights of last weeks Georgia game, then compare it to the 2012 SECCG. The difference is night and day. We are watching terrible football.

I know the answer but I don't want to be called racist and banned.

Is there a reason Sam Darnold has a Superbowl ring and Lamar Jackson doesn't?

Probably just a coincidence.

The problem is that with NIL and the portal it’s going to be impossible for teams to stack that much talent on their rosters like we used to.

The fact this is downvoted 7 times more than upvoted… is beyond bizarre. Either there are LSU alts in this board, or these Bama fans enjoy losing.
