Big event? Louis makes Superman sit in the corner while she goes down on Green Bowl Cut?

That is very good news. He was... terrific.

He was such a bland and uninteresting character
Keep in mind this movie was written and entered pre-production before the Gaza War kicked off.

I know things can be tweaked plot wise during that period but that's a pretty substantial scene to suddenly toss in there for no other reason than saying frick you to Israel.
The hot scientist from Deep Blue Sea. She was supposed to be the hero and essentially the main character but test audiences blamed her for the chaos and wanted her eaten because... she was the only character in history who wasn't allowed to atone for her mistakes I guess..

So they reshot the ending, cut several of her scenes before killing her off and poor Thomas Jane never got to smash...

re: Superman… should I bother?

It's not woke but imagine a campy B-movie Superman directed by Michael Bay with a $12 budget set aside for the VFX department and that's basically what you're getting here.
Figured from the start he'd be back eventually just at a lower tier program where there's less stress and BS to deal with.

Hated Andy's character but that line slapped hard.

The score is top notch for sure. When it hits, all the nostalgia floods back.

What? The score was pure cheese and had me wondering if I was watching Will Farrell's Land of the Lost at times rather than a JP film.

Desplat's score isn't even in the same stratosphere as Williams'.
I liked the Snyder movies (his cuts, not the studio) but Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex was embarrassingly bad. Far too over the top, campy and not even menacing in the slightest.

I hated the new Superman movie and thought it was Michael Bay bad, but Hoult did a superb job as Luthor. He really deserved to be Lex in BvS while Jesse Eisenberg should have been saved for Gunn's live action Nickelodeon movie.
Just saw it and was unimpressed. It was a bloated, tone deaf mess filled with predictable clichés and an over abundance of cringeworthy moments and the usual CGI vomit parade.

Way too many half-baked subplots and juvenile MCU lite quips that landed like a wet fart.

For the life of me, I don't understand how this movie is getting so much praise. It's a subpar film at best and feels like a two hour TikTok reel.

The only redeeming qualities are the cast. They absolutely nailed the roles. Too bad it was overshadowed by every other aspect being dog shite bad.

Which one of the 20 other megathreads are clogged up?

I mean, sure, technically, he's an illegal alien but the emphasis should be on the alien part. It's not like he's standing outside Lowe's or picking strawberries.

Or some third world street shitter who doesn't assimilate and wants to fundamentally uproot western culture...
A real reporter would have pressed him to name a single Western city that's improved thanks to mass third world immigration. London? Paris? NYC?

We’re not the world's soup kitchen and trying to equate a white dude with magical powers with a street shitter is peak ideological delusion. It's like crying "We're a nation of immigrants" while conveniently forgetting up until the 70s, 85% of America's immigrants hailed from Europe, not third world hellscapes.
For starters, studios rush post prod, severely overuse CGI without grounding it in reality and rely on overworked VFX teams under tight deadlines and shitty budgets.

Also, I can tell you from experience that pushing the saturation in post can completely kill the realism and make entire scenes look fake. We shot some of the Superman scenes entirely on location with practical lighting and all but the final grade made it look like the talent was standing in front of a greenscreen. I'm just baffled at how some of the locations look fake as hell in the trailers.

Jurassic World Afterbirth was heavily oversaturated too which onl amplified the challenge of distinguishing between practical sets and greenscreen elements.

Thankfully you will be only one of a few to stand in the way of progress, however. Key grips and best boys will soon need to learn how to code.

I feel personally attacked by this.

How is her saying she's proud that Hollywood is staring to truly move past just hiring women for looks hypocritical?

So will the next James Bond have a beer belly and look like Ron Howard's inbred brother? Is Scar gonna go full retard and protest when they cast a handsome dude?

If anything stretches believability more than genetically engineered dinosaurs, it's a 120 pound, 5'2 girl somehow being the 'alpha' over guys who could steamroll her without breaking a sweat. So yeah, let's hire her because she's a real bAd arse!

Maybe she doesn't want to have to appease horny idiots like you

Simp harder, proud virgin.

re: Revenue sharing?

When do we stop sharing revenue with the rest of the conference or at least move to an uneven revenue distribution plan so the bottom feeders can stop sucking our tits?
That is dope af. Can you post photos of yours once you get it set up?

I think WB screwed that whole thing up a lot more than he did.

Exactly. The BvS Ultimate Edition and Snyder Cut were amazing.

Didn't Warner also try to tinker with TDKR and Nolan told them to frick off?
