There is various reasons these players are on a 'minor' league team and not the pros.

A very Oats type of season.
The players that was show-boating for the cameras instead of lining up for the last play made himself look like a clown. AJ was justifiably losing it pretty good about that. I would have too. AJ had to burn a timeout to not get a penalty and it gave the other time to get a play together. Totally inexcusable.

Thread reeks of jealousy over Bama.
The team is trying to get a local name to attract people to come watch the game or they were moving the team out of Bham. Holtz was doing a great job but the UFL people made the switch.
Count me in. Big Stallions fan. Hated to see Holtz go but maybe AJ will be good.

Never under-estimate auburn's ability to try and make themselves to appear more elite than they really are.
Auburn pays massive bucks for promoting their rep, media control, and general internet street cred. They are never going to give up their agenda of "fake it till you make it". They are truly the paper tiger trying to throw the biggest shadow on the wall in hopes people believe it. And the weak minded people do sometimes.
