re: Kelly is the most important hire by LSU since Saban

Alabama hired a coach 4 days after his appearance in the national championship game
Knee-jerk reaction and exactly why they won’t win another NC for a long time.
Their fanbase and boosters are full of reactionary clowns who throw fits when they go 10-2. frick them and I hope their program goes back to the era of mediocrity like they were in the decade before Saban came.

Their fighting tooth and nail to turn Star Trek into a money making machine like Disney did with Star Wars.

I’ll be pulling for the Hoosiers from here on out (of course except when they play my Fightin’ Texas Aggies)

NYC singlehandedly has the largest Muslim population out of any major US city. Most of them organize as a collective when it comes to voting, and Mamdani aligns with their religious views. That’s a huge reason why he won.

NJ is situated right next to one of the most far-left cities in the entire world. Can’t say I’m shocked by this.

How delusional to you have to be to think that a retired 74 year old would come back to coach? The desperation of LSU fans is off the charts.
Everyone warned you guys that Kelly was a washed up car salesman of a coach who didn’t give two shits about winning a national championship. And yet you stuck it in everyone’s faces and bragged about “but muh BK’s win record is the highest out of all coaches!”
The chickens have finally come to roost for the Corndog and it’s glorious.

re: Why are some of you actually getting your hopes up that Saban comes back as your coach?
Posted by JasonDBlaha on 11/4/25 at 7:37 am to Hawgnsincebirth55
They’re desperate. Kelly is easily the worst coach they’ve had in the last 25 years. All 3 of their previous coaches had won a championship. He didn’t.

It’s not happening with Saban. Forget it.
Most likely you guys will get a younger up-and-coming coach

I think its well documented now that Saban was not the same coach he was in the 2010s.
His peak was 2008-2021. He was slowly starting to slip in consistency when NIL came into play.

I doubt most of them would care that much. He cemented his legacy there and nothing will take that away.

He can easily afford to live in any of LA county’s wealthiest neighborhoods. I doubt he’d want to leave.
re: Does Brian Kelly coach this coming season?

Not a chance. Kelly knows that he’s now a pariah in the college football world. He’ll simply slip into anonymity.

Whole show is horrendous
As soon as I saw that it was being directed by the same hack who directed the 2017 film, I knew it would be trash.
At its core, the story of IT isn’t a mindless gore fest with jump scares. It’s a psychological noir meant to serve as a metaphor for how terrible people are in society are and makes you question whether there’s some omnipresent force that’s driving them to behave that way (hence the character of Pennywise).
The 1990 series captured at least some of this by not showing everything on screen and putting more emphasis on having dreary atmosphere with depressing music.
I would do anything to see an original adaptation of the novel with an older veteran actor who has a wide range of roles. No disrespect to Bill Skaarsgard, but that guy is a terrible actor.

They’re turning it into a Hollywood cash cow. Nothing will ever beat the 1990 original miniseries.
