How did an ole miss guy win? It’s my understanding only the national champions in golf are invited to the masters and that’s assuming they retain amateur status. Ole miss has no golf nattys.

Just googled it - a guy named Cary Middlecoff. Evidently top 10 all time PGA player. Won master in 55 and US Open twice with a runner open at the Open.

And which of those schools has the most individual masters winners?

Was actually shocked Kite never won it came in 2nd three times.

Im claiming him for Tennessee too. Born, raised, and died in Tennessee. Also did his graduate school with UT. Side note very interesting person who also served in WW2. Truly was the greatest generation
