Between registration, equipment rental, jersey cost, and other fees, the total would be hovering somewhere around $500. Pretty big number for anyone pinching pennies. That seems to be the biggest issue i see around here. Parents don't want to have to pay that so they don't let the kids play until 8th grade ball ( when the school picks up the tab ) and then of course its their first year playing so they usually are not very good and they get discouraged and stop playing after 1 year.
In WV where I live, little league (full contact) starts for 9 year olds. When I was 7, my dad started a flag football league for that age group to get kids introduced w/o all the physicality. It's still good for younger kids today.
All aspects of football from age 7-18 has always been free where I'm from. I can't imagine having to pay anything for it like in baseball

I think the pace will change a ton. We were terrible at getting plays in last season and one of the slowest teams in the nation in pace.
Lane likes mobile QBs in his offense, so I'd expect to see a much different QB style of play compared to what we saw with Nuss.
I expect route trees designed to open up a primary receiver... in other words, there will be a purpose in the routes and progressions.
Lane is notorious for successful running games, so just seeing him get a running game going will be a big change.

Potentially, a combination between being far from home and being a 5 star who may not carve out a starting role by year 2, which is the goal for most of them.
I'm not saying that's how he feels, but that would be the concern.
Going into the season, I'm actually surprised that neither he or Harper are poised to start. I guess it's more of a grown man's game now... a lot of 22-23 year olds.

To me, this is comparable to Fournette playing LB instead of RB.
The crazy thing about this is I wouldn't be surprised if Brown is the 3rd best OL on the team right now, behind Seaton and Moore.

It's also interesting that there's no one from MO or AR. I wouldn't mind getting more guys from MS going forward.

He did pretty well last year, but the main 2 ILBs will be Weeks and Dottery. Keys knows how to play the position IMO and makes quick reads.
I'm high on the whole group, but I think a name to watch is Zach Weeks. He's basically a kid and this should be year one for him, but he was the go to guy last year when injuries occurred and he's gotten bigger and stronger this year.

Practice just started, but I definitely didn't have Elzy starting on my bingo card. I would've expected him to be below Jayce and Tre Brown, along with Jackson, Watkins, Wilson, and maybe Mothershed.
I've always been pretty high on Durham and Berry, so Jones starting there would be a little surprising. FWIW, Wisconsin is usually pretty good at identifying and developing RBs. I think he was their RB1 early last year.
DTs will probably be rotating a lot regardless of who the starters are.
I was always high on Jhase Thomas, but didn't see this coming. Cooley had some bad angles and missed tackles last year, but I thought he played like an SEC caliber Safety. He mostly played Nickel at NC State but did okay at FS last year IMO.

DTs rotate more than any other position on the team. You always want a fresh pair of guys in there. They can wear down quick. It's good that we have 5 solid guys we can count on there.

The episode was a little odd, but not terrible IMO.
It starts off odd seeing Rhaenyra unraveling to Helena, trying to get her to literally tell her the happenings of the entire continent.
The relationship between Daemon and his daughter is actually pretty touching. I would've thought that he, even knowing she may be in danger, wouldn't worry about it and would just focus on his own interests. He was put in a tough situation.
Everything going on in Harren Haul is just way too stagnant and unwatchable at this point. Aemond now thinks that he can claim the throne from there with an empty and destroyed castle, no army, no Vhagar, and a handful of old dragon eggs that if hatched, may be formidable against the Blacks in 30 years?
The dragon fight scene and exposure of sheep stealer's rider was interesting. Although, if it were those 3 vs. Vhagar, at least 2 of them aren't escaping that alive and the only way any survive is if Caraxys takes a firm hold on Vhagar while the other 2 are basically being sacrificed. I don't think they would've survived at all if not for Daemon.

I get that the Blacks haven't given the seeds much respect for their loyalty, but this isn't a good move for him. Ormund barely even tolerates Daeron's dragon and mentioned that you can't trust common blood that rose to power.
I'm curious if they'll be able to appeal to Hugh or if him turning will have something to do with his wife? He doesn't seem like a simpleton.
I get that the seeds are looking for more and the Blacks are pretty foolish for not making sure they're taken care of, but obviously the Greens don't view them any better than the Blacks, the Blacks are just honest with them.
