It's extremely difficult to reboot an entire position group, especially OL, through the portal. We will definitely not be the only ones out there trying to bring in top OL.

Some of these guys are salvageable, and based on Curne's transfer ranking, we'll have a hard time finding someone better.

I think attrition needed to happen, but 3 of the 4 guys that are apparently leaving could've probably been decent starters here next season.

It's going to be really hard to replace an entire OL with SEC caliber players through the portal.

You gotta think that some of these guys are good enough to pan out. I was hoping next year's group would be:

LT: best portal OL available
LG: Echols/ Thomas/ Miller
C: Moore
RG: Curne/ Thomas/ Miller
RT: Adams/ Williams battle
Lane will get the right guy.

Chambliss is likely 1(A) no matter who enters the portal.

If not him, it's still early (technically hasn't begun). Brown and Sorsby are the big names now that I'd also be happy with, but there will be other big names to consider.
The talent's always been there. To me it always screamed development and strength and conditioning.

Yeah, I knew people could withdraw their name, but wasn't sure if Lane and staff would take them back.
Guys need to stop announcing that they're "not transferring". If you're staying where you are, why should anything be announced?
Getting those guys back would be enormous. Curne could be great at Guard and is poised to start. His portal ranking will have him poised to be a top 12-20 overall player. Echols was promising in the run game.

Its not easy to replace 2 solid starting Guards along with all the other areas that will need to be addressed.
We could definitely use him after losing Curne and Echols
If their last names are Curne or Echols, keep them
If we're losing Curne and Echols, we NEED to hang on to Thomas and Miller.

Damn... I would've been pretty content with Curne and Echols both starting at Guard next season.

I trust the staff but it's hard to replace starters on the OLine like these two guys when there are already lots of portal needs.

I'm comofirtable betting that neither team will make it to Atlanta next season
Can he help you guys score more than 3 points at Kyle Field?
A big factor is being able to sustain success even through coaching changes (that you didn't want.) Your success can't be too predicated on one coach.

Natties or at least appearances are needed. You also have to show that you're a top destination for top HCs, recruits, and portal prospects.
The thing is that when/ if that day comes, LSU will move onto the next big time candidate and be content with Lane getting things back on track and bringing in more national championships to LSU.

LSU won't get butt hurt about a split with Lane unless it's because he's not meeting expectations.

Anything else I'm missing?

My google search engine must be off because I can't find any national championship wins, appearances, or any SEC titles between now and then.
Ole Miss are starting to feel like Aggie wanna bes. No one alive has seen the Aggies win a football natty and it won't be long before the same is said about Ole Miss.

ATM is still a much better program, but neither can handle any kind of success because they're so unfamiliar with it.
