Finney recently made the move to reclassify in to the class of ’26. It’s a move that makes a lot of sense as Finney started every game since his freshman season playing against one of the nation’s toughest schedules. From a traits standpoint, he has all the tools you’re looking for in a next level corner. He boasts a long, 6-2 frame with room to add good weight, is a plus athlete and can run. As a freshman, he clocked several sub 11.0-100m times with a personal best 10.81 and anchored the schools 4X100 relay team. He’s a three-phase athlete who we’ve seen at receiver and he also took back two punts for touchdowns as a sophomore. He needs to continue to bulk up and add good weight. He plays a physical game in coverage and adding some size will help him in the run game as well. Finney has been a national recruit since he was a freshman and has the long term upside to play for any school he wants and his ceiling is extremely high

It was a bummer seeing him, Goodwin, and Bradford not work out here. You could see the talent each of them had. The same goes for Emery, for that matter.

I thought year 2 players were draft eligible now?

re: Thank you Ashton Larson

He completely turned this game around.

John Pearson played third well in inner squads. He can hit and hit for power. At this point, I'd like to get him a look. Bras is lost at the plate and Reeves' offense doesn't make up for his defense.

Gotta love monster.

Maybe we'll get LeBron next year if Milam goes pro.

Brown can fly

He's a hell of a baserunner.
He definitely deserves credit for bouncing back after some early defensive struggles
Pearson and Larson belong in this lineup.

Yep. This lineup has been on fire for the last few weeks putting up tons of runs against OU and Auburn.

Had the wrong guys in the lineup
If you're not producing and playing sluggish, set TF down and put someone in who wants to play (Larson).

re: Get Pearson in for Frey!

Wish we did that 5 damn innings ago
It looked like a questionable decision then, and now looks like a stupid decision.

Even without Kade, we've looked like arse some the OU series and didn't hit well against them either

re: I’d be so sick if I was Kade

Yeah, our offense is pitiful and I'd be annoyed as a pitcher as well. With that said, Kade gets lit up when guys put it in play... 4 HRs in less than 6 innings isn't exactly something to brag about.

I can't remember the last time we scored 5 or more against an SEC team.

Bama's put up a 4 spot now

Posted by 304tiger on 4/17/25 at 8:42 pm
We'll be lucky to score 4 runs this series with this offense.

re: WTF is going on

Posted by 304tiger on 4/17/25 at 8:28 pm
This team can't hit... their numbers so far are inflated by the bottom of the SEC, midweek games, and early cupcake teams.

We melt against LHP

And sometimes righties as well.
The ugly truth is that this team has serious offensive issues.
