I love reading these early in the spring.
It's refreshing to see a room with 6 scholarship RBs. I think Jones from Wisconsin could be interesting, especially on goal line and short yardage plays.
On the OL, we're as good as anyone in the SEC or country as far as LT and C. It's gotta be a unit and one weak link can ruin it all... I'm hoping Thomas get healthy.
I think the WRs could be hard for teams to handle and the DL could give teams fits as well.

I know LSU baseball is having a rough go right now, but the season's not over and you can't just win the CWS EVERY year. I'm okay with 2 of the last 3 right now.

Well, this baseball roster was in place before the 2024 football season even started. I don't see LSU sacrificing baseball after winning 2 natties in 3 years... this team can still turn it around but some of the transfers we were relying on are looking like busts.

I think he's doing the best anyone could here. He's found our 3B IMO in Pearson, who we knew could hit but starting him there was probably a surprise to everyone and came to be because others weren't getting it done.
Dar Dar and Simpson by all accounts were productive last season and should be having impacts, but neither can lock up a spot. Both can play 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and have last year. It was always going to come down to who brings the most offensively. Right now Carraway may be the best. Both have had looks, but I'd like to see more of Simpson.
SS is a tough position and it's huge to have such a good glove/ arm there. I just wish his offense would get back to where it's been in the past.
OU's got a good team. If Cam Johnson can find his control and command, you guys should go far.

It definitely was, but if Evans didn't put the cape on Thursday and OU doesn't pitch Cam Johnson, we may have been swept.

Jay's been great here and no one can blame this on him. Some of the transfers have been busts so far, which can happen.
That said, I think Guidry has shown he's capped at about 2 innings, 3 tops. I'd also like to see more of Simpson due to the production he had last year and the expectations he came in with.

Yeah I think so too. I don't think Ricken will, and Guidry really shouldn't go more than 2-3 innings at a time. I could see maybe giving another shot to Cooper Williams, but I think Jay will emphasize control and not giving up free passes.

When healthy, we have a very good weekend rotation and we have some high level stoppers as well.
Our position players are really holding us back right now. We're having too many errors and as a whole, our offense is atrocious.
Honestly, if not for Evans putting a cape on and Cam walking our entire lineup on Friday, we'd be staring down a home sweep right now.

His curve was really on tonight. It's definitely the best I've seen it working all year. He could throw it for a strike when he wanted to and it looked sharp.

He's had a rough stretch lately. Teams have figured him out and he really struggles with outside pitching. He's not doing enough right now, but he's one of our best 9 still.
