Didn't you know? Other teams never lose to Bama. It's always the refs' fault.

OP is going to be totally shocked when he figures out the refs were equally bad on both sides of the ball and gave Florida points too.

Let's not even talk about the other embarrassing displays from SEC refs this past weekend.

You are correct, the SEC officiating was horrible in 4 games.

1) Bama/Florida yes, the reason we all know about it was it was a spot light match up.

Other SEC Fubars

2) MSU/Memphis, major screw up
3) Penn State and Auburn, they got the down wrong 1 time, similar to the CU and Mizzou game I think it was back in early 90's were CU ran 5 plays to win a game at the buzzer, they got an extra 4th Down!.
4) LSU game, LSU freshman sensation Davis makes an incredible catch on CMU's 45 yard line, play called out of bounds, Replay gets the call correct (he caught it) but SEC refs spot the ball back on LSU's own 45.

SEC officiating cost MSU a game, totally got downs wrong on one Penn State drive, totally blew one (spotted ball on wrong 45, took 10 yards from LSU) in LSU game and Alabama got some favorable PI calls but if Florida does not miss that PAT, they are not having to go for 2.

a lot of refs forget it’s a rule I think. Although it’s been around close to 15-20 years now because it hasn’t always been an issue I think many refs forget to watch for it

Yea, and it is much easier to see on replay too sometimes (though not really that one).

There was another play like that in the game on the other side - Florida guy dragged down our player from the back (might have been the interception return by JAD). On first glance I thought for sure it was a horse collar, but then they showed the replay and you could see that really he tackled him by the nameplate and never latched on to the shoulder pads.

I’m just of the mindset SEC refs suck in general.

I will say they aren’t the worst though. If you live on the West coast like me, NOTHING and I repeat NOTHING comes close to the buffoonery and stupidity of PAC-12 refs.

Consider us lucky to not have those dumbos officiating SEC games.

Honestly I think the game is just too fast and physical for a lot of those guys. Some of these things are just bad and not related (MSU/Memphis, Auburn/PSU 3rd down fiasco) to that, but a lot of it I think things just happen so fast that their eyes and brain can't process what they saw unless it's right in front of them very well.

It's one of the main reasons the SEC clearly told them to just stop calling holding inside the tackle box unless it's blatantly obvious, I think. Just eliminates one more thing for them to look at.

Oh gawd, they are terrible. We've dealt with them quite a bit in the playoffs/title game and they are gawd awful.

I keep telling these people. Either get the 13 ADs/Coaches/Presidents from the SEC schools to do something about the blatant bias for Alabama (something which none of them do or even talk about which is weird) or pay more money than Alabama does to pay off the refs. If you cant do that then stop whining

I’m not saying the officiating was bad the entire game but the whole first qtr the refs seemed to be sleep walking and just giving the bama receivers a flag everytime they cried for one. You take away those calls and Florida wins I don’t see alabama winning a championship this season

Because this BAMA team can't keep getting better like all the Tide teams before it? That this Crimson Tide is incapable of playing at a higher level the next time out?

If, If and Buts were candy and nuts, you hogs would have yourself quite a treat there. But not any closer to a win.

Complaining about refs in an Alabama game is equivalent to bitching about WWE refs who don't call the match fairly...

...or honestly believing that the 2020 Presidential "election" was the first one in history to be rigged.

Holding happens on the O line on most every play.
The timing of those two bullshite pass interference calls. That led to 10 points, that kept Bama's offense on the field. When the punt team should have been on the field.
That is the real issue, that I have with the officials.

Let the games be decided by the players. Bama has the best college coach ever, 30+ 5 star players. They shouldn't have the refs help too.

Did Florida ever get a drive extended, by the refs, with a penalty on Bama?

The losing team is apt to complain about the officials especially if an important call goes against them, but Bama had plenty of shitty calls/non-calls that didn't go their way as well. This was not a one-sided game as far as officiating goes. We play at Rupp arena every year, so I know what one-sided officiating looks like. It will melt a 20 point lead in a minute.

That said, we do need better officiating, but the officials didn't cost us this game.

Yes. MSU legitimately can claim SEC refs are the reason they lost their game. No doubt about that.

Yeah, and if Bryce Young either runs it in or the TE stays in bounds on an easy TD, the game is not even close.

Ifs and Buts . . .

I'm just glad that a Florida player didn't throw a shoe and it resulted in a Bama win. Sound familiar?

Ohboy... right on cue here come the LSU third-decade whiners... WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

WTF? a supposed Ark fan complaining about officiating in a Florida game against Alabama, cherry picking two three specific plays? This is so LSU-like it screams, I mean SCREAMS...Waaaaaahhhhhhhh. OMG what a perennial bunch of selfabsorbed entitled babies. Here is a special comment just for those people.... WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
