Bruh. We couldn't even beat UCLA

On Florida’s last touchdown there was a blatant hold on the perimeter. But you don’t see anyone bitching about it.

Are you sure you aren’t an LSU fan? I thought they were the people who watch every single Alabama game like a jealousy schoolboy.

Why I expect that next you will mumble something about schedules, Ritter, have-to-play-Florida, PP was inbounds, and start declaring they ought to call the FBI and move to the B12. That would make it easier to understand… Funny how it all seems to work only one way…

Complaining about this hand fighting and jersey grabbing on a back shoulder throw being blatantly NOT being PI

And yet totally ok with this being PI (on 4th down)

It's ridiculous. To make matters worse, the coaches are literally forbidden from complaining about officiating. Tell me that's not a REC rule. The refs get to tip the balance in Alabama's favor with impunity. I'm numb to it after 14 years. These days I'm just surprised when Alabama is allowed to lose a close one. That has to happen occasionally or else the other conferences would start to cry foul. "Alabama wins their 98th game in a row, Bob. In other news, ratings hit an all time low."

I’m fine with that first PI call on Elam. It’s the one called on Helm later in the game that was complete bullshite

What is amazing to me is that Florida fans are far less upset about the officiating than some other fan bases
There were some pretty bad holds by Florida's OL that weren't called. I noticed one by Bama's OL as well. The missed horse collar and pass interference call were pretty egregious, but ultimately Florida still had the ability to win the game but didn't make the plays necessary

Is a horse caller kind of like a horse whisperer?

Metchie beat him out of his break so he grabbed his jersey AND THEN hooked him around the waist with his left arm to leverage his way up into position to knock the ball down. He basically used Metchie's jersey and body as a springboard to both slow Metchie AND get himself into position to be able to make the play on the ball.

Like come on - that's a play that gets called PI quite frequently. It literally checks 2 of the red flag "this is PI" boxes - grab the jersey, hook the waist.

When I was watching that play, it looked to me like the qb took to long to decide to hand the ball off.

But maybe I am not remembering it correctly.

Hopefully Florida uses the game as motivation to play their best and get to the SECCG.

Jesus Christ dude metchie was barely touched and it was 5 yards out of bounds and uncatchable, meanwhile Copeland was literally drug down and you believe it’s the same. You gumps are something else

Again, this is why it's pointless to even try to discuss these things.

Copeland was "drug down" (he starts going down after Jobe has moved his hands off of him, of course he never grabbed him led alone forcefully pushed him in a direction, and is clearly trying to go down to catch the underthrown ball at his feet) and Metchie was "barely touched" (unable to turn back to the ball because his shoulder is being held). Also I'm sure Moore just "slipped" and Metchie had some strange adhesive on his jersey that made Helms hand hold onto it.

DAMN BAMMERS!

I’m talking about the very first PI on bama on 3rd down. That ball is way out of bounds and uncatchable. Metchie is barely touched once the ball is in the air although you might could argue defensive holding when he was running his route but he’s completely free once the ball is in the air. Yes the ball was underthrowned but that is still very catchable in fact Im the nfl you see qbs underthrow intentionally sometimes to draw the flag that way.

The 1st qtr Metchie one was definitely the most ticky tacky of them all, agreed. Jobe's was probably #2.

And HTT CLAERLY horsecollared on that 3rd down play out on the edge. That was just egregiously missed. We did immediately go 3 and out after that, though, so it kind of washed.

I'd argue the hold on the TD run by Florida was pretty egregious, as well, but I also feel pretty sure that Florida finds a way to get 6 there because we had put up basically no resistance to that point in the 2nd half. So all that would have done is take more time away from Florida and maybe force them to onside kick instead of kick it back to us.

As i said, after the first qtr I thought it was pretty even game in terms of calls, some misses here and there but they went both ways, but that first PI and the missed horse collar were terrible

I don't think the PI was horrible, mainly because I've seen us and countless others get called for that sort of thing over and over. But it certainly was ticky tack.

The horse collar was awful - not sure how you miss that. It was out in the open, too.
