How do you not recall Alabama vs. Clemson in the 2015 NC? Objectively one of the top 10 games of all time. Had a Heisman and Heisman runner up. A huge amount of first rounders. A kickoff touchdown. An onside kick.

I’m obviously not old enough to remember (vividly) that time but I ask….what happened from 1994-1997?
Also, did a coach that had his number exit from the SWC/BIG8/BIG12 that allowed him to have some breathing room? Say like what happened in 2017 with Auburn and Alabama. I’m not comparing Kirby to Osbourne I just know he went a whole hell of a lot of years coaching and didn’t win the big game until like the last 4-5 years of his career…like 3 times in 4 years. If it was just offense that nobody could get used to then :dunno: that’s that I guess.

As much as LSU fans brag about that schedule, Alabama’s 14-0 2009 schedule was much more impressive AND was the first time in history up to that point where any CFB team played the #1 and #2 team in the country consecutively.

Now that there’s proper medical care and analytics readily available to just about everyone in D1/FBS, unless the injury is life threatening or career ending, it really doesn’t matter anymore. Not only that but depending on the injury history, some come back better than ever with more knowledge of how to better take care of themselves.
