Ever been to an orchestra concert? Many Chinese students come here because we have some of the best music schools in the world - Julliard, New England conservatory, San Francisco Conservatory, Jacobs School of Music at IU, Curtis, etc.

Many, many of those have thousands of Chinese students who have been playing since they were 5. Many are great kids too as I’ve gotten to meet several.

“Home” is one of the most disturbing hours of television I ever watched. I was lucky (unlucky?) to watch it the night it originally released.

There was no lead-in that it was going to be that way - and was banned (well, not re-broadcast) for the longest.

Someone is obviously setting this up to challenge the system.

Now, withholding admissions for someone who can pass the exam with accommodations is wrong and should be challenged. Is it really fair for someone’s hearing impaired child to not get the same benefits of the school if they are also gifted yet need instructions in sign or with the use of audio equipment? Of course not.
