Damn. That’s nice. I’ve never tried working with balsa and paper. Not sure I’d have the patience.

Nice of them to put the arrow on the wing so those squids would know which direction is forward.

Those are carrier air group markings.

That Corsair was the the USS Bunker Hill’s Air Group.

it's technically WWII, too late for combat, but right after. Could be something different

Yeah. It missed the war only by a few months didn’t it?

Butch O'Hare got an airport named after him for his exploits in the Hellcat.

I believe the Hellcat had one of the highest kill ratios of any fighter on either side of the war.

ah, i was digging on ebay the other day and the older kits have them

I tend to stick with WWII era. But I do venture out some, so I may have to look for one.

you ever make a Tigercat? Those are pretty neat

Not yet. I don’t even have one in my stash.

F6F was great, still would rather the Corsair

quote:

The Grumman F6F Hellcat is an American carrier-based fighter aircraft of World War II. Designed to replace the earlier F4F Wildcat and to counter the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero, it was the United States Navy's dominant fighter in the second half of the Pacific War. In gaining that role, it prevailed over its faster competitor, the Vought F4U Corsair, which initially had problems with visibility and carrier landings.

Outdated cultural depictions, I don't want to live in a society this soft.

To those pushing this sort of thing, it’s more about reshaping how people, particularly youth, view our culture and society. Specifically, they want to make them come to hate everything about both our culture and society so that, as these youth mature into adults, they’re open to tearing both down an replacing them with a society and culture built on the principles of Marxism.

At lest they made the effort I guess.

Wow, we still add ash to concrete mixes today.

In fact I did it last week.

Yes. But did you mix the ash with quicklime first?

An was it volcanic ash?
I’m still yet to have anyone give me a good reason for wanting a multicultural community, especially when it’s comprised of people who (1) have zero desire to assimilate and (2) hate your culture.

Are these “war pigs” in the room with us right now?

Show us on the doll where these “war pigs” hurt you.

I’m pretty sure it was when the last Top Gun movie was released. How long ago was that? A year?

quote:

"Top Gun-Maverick" was the last of the series and it came out in 2022.

Damn. It’s been longer than I thought since I went to the movies.

Vader LOVED them. But thanks for your input

Did I miss something?

Can I bring my kids over? They'd have a field day in there. You probably wouldn't appreciate it though

“For display only, please do not touch”
Our son is grown and set to get married this coming spring. But our daughter is still at home. I didn’t have to assemble anything for either this year. I didn’t however have to assemble two shelves that my wife got me for my model room.

They’re just simple shelves from Amazon. But they’re prefect for my models. My plan is to buy another 10-12 of these to replace all the shelves in my model room with them.
I’m trying to remember the last time we even went to the movies. I’m pretty sure it was when the last Top Gun movie was released. How long ago was that? A year? It isn’t that I’m opposed to going to the movies. I actually love going. There just haven’t been any movies come out that I see as worth going to the movies to watch.
Yes we are all equal under God’s authority….

quote:

Galatians 3:28: "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus".

But the scriptures are also clear on the role of women in the Church…

quote:

1 Timothy 2:11-12: "A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent".

1 Corinthians 14:34-35: "Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home".

Those aren’t my words, those are the word’s from the scripture. Our opinion on the matter really doesn’t matter. You can argue for or against what you think should or shouldn’t be. But if you’re making an argument that goes against God’s word, then you need to understand you’re rebelling against God Himself.

Downvote it, scream at it, do whatever you like. The Bible says why it says and we can either accept it or not.
