The combat was certainly real, but I think OP is referring to the importance of the implications of the war. Vietnam was a proxy war. It is 100% a pyramid scheme. It has zero intrinsic value. I will never buy it now. But I also wish I would have bought $100 worth in 2010 when I first heard of it.

It just lagged behind the massive inflation of the Biden era. Catching up now. The dollar was devalued in 2021-24 by a lot. The thing with inflation is it rarely go backwards. A few items may return to normal like eggs and gas. But cars, beef, houses, dairy, etc. all remain high. So while the inflation RATE is back down, the existing expansion remains. And now gold and silver are catching up.

The trillion dollar question is if it all comes falling down around them, who will history blame for the demise of the democratic party? Essentially, it's whoever the last legitimately elected democrat president was. Do we think that was Obama? I know Obama is who energized the far left that is still leading to the shockwaves of lunacy we see today. But if his election was due to fraud as well, do we then blame the Clintons? Jimmy Carter? Thesises (thesi?) will be written on the subject.

I'm pretty sure the largest shipbuilders are located in China though. Bollinger, GIS, Chouest are nice to have though. And I wasn't aware that Louisiana had large venture capital firms, at least compared to the bigger states. I've been screaming about the oil and gas services companies since the beginning of NIL, and how Louisiana is loaded with cash. Most of us cross paths with multi-millionaires everyday without realizing it.
