They’re mad LSU has a competitive advantage and are seeking to curb that advantage. Thats all this is.
The governor supporting the state flagship university is extreme institutional control. If SEC presidents have political axes to grind, and fans and ADs are scared if LSU reaching its potential, that’s their own problem. The action against LSU and we will win in court.

LSU playing victim here is about right. They never claim any responsibility in anything they do that’s wrong. At the end of the day, LSU still tried to cheat, and was only stopped when the SEC stepped in. That’s a fact. The Presidents don’t want LSU to continue this behavior, so I would suspect some sanctions to come down. Probably just probation at this point, but there will be something. If there’s no consequences, then LSU will just do this shite again.

It’s actually the opposite of LOIC the SEC just doesn’t like us controlling ourselves and finally looking out for LSU’s best interest…..BUT I wouldn’t expect Bama to understand this as they’ve had a bought and paid for commissioner in office for half a century if not longer.

Ole Miss - got left by someone they loved
Alabama - star fading and worried they won’t be as relevant as LSU
These are the primary motivators of the opposing fans claiming LSU has done anything wrong, and all are just reverse engineering their logic to confirm their priors.
LSU has done 0 wrong and it is rich of these fanbases claiming such when they’ve had players actually playing on TRO.

Go for it, SEC. Go to court as a “private, independently run” sports league and argue that the state of Louisiana has less power than the league to run its state funded university as it sees fit.

A funny line. A winning political line. Maybe even an accurate line.
But not a line well-received by the rest of the league.
