Why is Hogwarts so freaking dark? The books are set in the 90s. There’s electricity. And there’s wizards who can make candles as bright as they want them to be.

It’s like filmmakers have forgotten how to use lighting.

And I don’t give a damn about the stuff from the books they left out in the films. I don’t watch film adaptations to have everything in the books put to film; I go to see the world an author created adapted into a visual medium. If I wanted every little detail Rowling wrote, I’d go read the damned books again.

I’m surprised the same people who bitch about all the things that got left out of the films don’t get off the Hagrid’s ride at Universal and complain, “But that wasn’t in the books!”

Show up two days early and spend a day at the Universal or Disney park of your choice.

Get limo service to and from the port. It’s pricier but soooooo worth it. We used Tuxedo Limo; they were fantastic.

If you don’t have a drink package: Stop at Publix and get a 12 pk of soda for each of you. You can carry it on unopened; will save you $3/can over buying it onboard. Get a 26oz Yeti for water. Bottled water costs $2-3 onboard. Use the water stations to fill up your own drinkware instead.

From Flagstaff, take US 89 North to AZ 64 and come into the park from the east at Desert View. Will be much less crowded and the views from there are just as good.

If you want to go to the main entrance, you can drive along 64 which follows the south rim into Grand Canyon Village.

I still think the better ending to Yellowstone would have been to have Rip show up to Jamie’s house to stop Beth from killing him only to have Jamie, as he’s bleeding out, spill the beans about Beth aborting Rip’s child causing Rip to rage kill Beth. He rigs the crime scene to make it look like they killed each other and walks away from the Duttons forever.
