did not play much but in his 30 plate appearances as a freshman he went .247 with two HRs.

You sure that’s accurate? Because OU website says otherwise.

he appeared in 30 games and made 24 starts, primarily in right field, then lost his starting role before the Sooners' postseason turnaround, which ultimately pushed him into the portal. He hit .247 with two home runs, 18 RBI and 11 runs in 93 at-bats. It's unknown if Blair will again try to play two sports at his next stop.

Let’s hope their evaluation is better than the majority of last years portal evaluations.
I can’t believe “the best 3rd baseman in the portal,” didn’t work out. Wild
lol at linking all the negative news. Falling into the trap exactly how they expected and giving them all the click. So gullible. Never change.

Damn. I guess you’ve proven yourself wrong twice here. The media did not have the scoop and Coach O actually was being sought out for a job. Live and learn son.

Can some of the fielding issues connect with the bad pitching? Errors due to so many on bases due to walks. Errors due to hard hit balls to fielders. I know, there shouldn't be that many errors regardless of the pitching. But I have a feeling there wouldn't have been as many errors without all the bad pitching.

On the flip side, turning those errors into outs would get out of more innings and throwing less pitches.
Schmidt and Evans finished 1st and 2nd in the SEC for most wild pitches.

Fielding percentage ranked 14/16.
He’s not terrible but he’s not a diehard Tiger fan which is what is missing. Hanagriff was the choice and they botched it.
Being 2nd to last in fielding percentage doesn’t help.

Am I suppose to get excited about this?

If you are wanting a post player, no.
If you are wanting a 6’3” 3/4 player that adds depth, sure.
Only 7 errors this series. Not bad!
Only 6 errors so far this series. Improvement!
