People forget about that one. It snowed its arse off right as the Sugar Bowl was ending.

I remember that. It stuck to the grass and cars.
It was perfect timing with "Pour Some Sugar On Me" on blast.

I remember our elementary school hit the pause button and all the teachers took us students outside to play in the snow. Parents came early to pick all the kids up.

Yup. I remember being glad my parents were Yankees who knew how to drive in snow.

I guess the snow was a surprise since they suddenly decided to send us all home. I can't imagine them not cancelling school in advance if snow was forecast. It was such a treat that day.

I had played in snow only once before. We went to visit family in Ohio in the early 80s and I got to build a snowman but they had a freak heat wave on Christmas Eve and it all melted. I was not amused that the one chance I had at a White Christmas turned out to be the warmest Christmas on record in Cleveland. 66 toasty degrees. The next year they set a record low of -10. Go figure.

1988 was the first time I remember seeing snow in Baton Rouge.
I was in middle school taking an exam. We noticed it was snowing outside and kids started trickling out to go play. I turned in my exam unfinished (pretty sure I failed and DGAF) and went outside to play.

A literal cool story, bro.

I also remember a little snow on the morning after the Sugar Bowl when we beat the shite out of Illinois.

Not so serious response: BK taking the Kirby Smart approach to running a SEC football program...

Is it wrong that my first thought was this kid could have a future at UGA?

Seriously, I hope he's okay. We all did dumb shite in college.

Alabama got 99 problems but Georgia ain't one. Kirby left before he could copy Saban on how to stop running QBs.

Every single living Bama fan would happily trade out Kalen DuBose for Kirby Smart.

Kirby is without question the best coach in the SEC since Saban retired and it's not really up for argument.
Governor Landry can hook you up with a top notch Great Value rental mascot. Guaranteed to bring your team victory!

You can't lose!

Why are you posting a pic of LSU's first President?

Is it to remind Carolina fans we kept them out of the playoff?

Probably Brian Kelly, although he probably has built enough equity that he might be able to survive a mediocre year a bit longer

Another 4+ loss season and his seat will definitely get hot in a hurry.

Losing 3 in a row down the stretch ain't gonna fly for long.

If nothing else, I think LSU would try to strongarm him into renegotiating his contract. His buyout is big but patience is going to be short in the era of the portal and NIL. He seems to have got the message but remains to be seen how it plays out on the field of play.

UGA is playing with house money.

I agree. Wild card is QB play.

Oregon has the most national championship starved fan base in the country

Hopefully Chip Kelly ends their perfect season in Pasadena (you couldn't script it any better) and they suffer another year.

I think Lanning will eventually deliver them a natty but his game day decision making continues to be suspect.

Sark will eventually get a natty as well.

This year, I am picking the winner of Ohio State/Oregon will face UGA in the final game. My money is on Ohio State but I could easily see Oregon, Texas or UGA winning it. Would be really surprised if Notre Dame won out.

So...the 32 Tennesseans who died at the Alamo were a disgrace...but the 30,000 volunteers that came to kick Santa Ana's arse and run his army back to Mexico were what?

This is a damn fine response.

Exactly.
Clemson was the only team that made the home team fight in the 2nd half.

I love people trying to claim Indiana had the closest game. They trailed 27-3 late in the 4th and scored a couple garbage time TDs. Woo hoo.

Whereas Clemson had a chance in the 4th quarter. Klubnik finally got cooking but that last TD by Texas was a backbreaker for sure. Klubnik vs. Ewers was actually quite an interesting storyline given Klubnik was an Austin kid who faced Ewers in the Texas HS title game.

So aside from that game, the other games held zero interest for me once it was obvious the rout was on.

Ohio State/Oregon rematch and Georgia/Notre Dame figure to be good games.

It was worth the CFP expanding to 12 teams just for the OP.

Good news for Vols is that your baseball program could be elite for years to come. Lean into that.

Basketball has potential. Football much better than it was.

Vols took it on the chin yesterday but no reason to panic.

2) LSU fans love this one: the 2001 SECCG. It was the last time the Vols were prominent on the national stage. Blew a chance to play for another natty. The real drop off began there.

Bingo

My Ohio State relatives thought the Vols had a big head yesterday so I had to school them about the last time the Vols actually had a big head. They were talking a lot of smack before that game in 01. Lost to our backup QB. Probably for the best. They weren't going to beat Miami anyway.

I agree that Kirby and Sark are the two best coaches in the conference.

After that, don't really care though will say Shane Beamer is a rising star that will continue to impress.
