As someone else said, they are everyone’s biggest game.
With Bama no longer being an annual opponent for LSU and Ole Miss on the rise, I expect.that longtime rivalry to heat up. I am happy about that though I think it sucks we won’t have Bama every year. I feel these annual opponents will be revised in the next decade.

I've lurked on tRant - w/ threads which referenced this 'pigs fly' but never understood the reference.
I will never forget that day because we watched the game after coming home from my Paw Paw’s funeral. He was a lifelong LSU fan. Ranks up there in my memories with watching Warren Morris walk it off as one of those moments I will always remember where I was.

I was there. After the game me and my buddy were walking back to rhe car and I said "Man, I don't think this Saban guy is gonna be here very long"
It is wild to think that Saban was a Bluegrass Miracle away from a 6 loss team in 2002. The year before his first title. He started his last year at Michigan State on the hot seat. He was good but nobody knew he was GOAT material.
Bama fans surely weren’t sure what they had in 2007. No way to know if Saban just had that one year he caught fire in 2003 and that was it. Little did anyone know what the next decade plus would bring. I can fully appreciate it now that he is no longer kicking our arse and is secure in his recliner coming to attention when Miss Terry calls.

I believe that pigs will take flight over Tuscaloosa tomorrow.

Texas Tech put a boatload into NIL
Tech thoroughly beat Utah, their only common opponent of note
Undefeated BYU laid an egg at Kansas last November and this is their first real test outside of the Holy War
Vegas usually knows their shite and honestly that is the real answer

Certainly a good argument for Florida but not seeing it at all with Auburn.
When in the last 30 years has Auburn landed a top coach?
Florida went out and got Urban Meyer.
What was Auburn's last big splash hire? Tuberville?
It wasn't that long ago one of their fans was screaming "Loser!!!" at their new head coach fresh off a 5-19 tenure at Iowa State. They tried to get Petrino and totally fricked that up.
It didn't work out for LSU with Brian Kelly but Woodward was never afraid to swing for the fences.
Speaking of Woody, I think Auburn should take a long hard look at Jimbo Fisher. He's only 60 and I think he's more than ready to get back in the arena. Odds are he won't be any worse than Harsin or Freeze. Jimbo is probably as big a splash as y'all can get right now.

Bama's record there through the '70s, '80s and '90s was 14-0-1.
Correct.
I was in the stadium that night in 2000 when SEC newb Nick Saban got LSU their first home win over Bama since 1969.
I remember walking on the field after the game. That Bama team only had 3 wins and Dubose was given his walking papers a few days before the game.

Don’t knock Nuss out of the game if you want to win
This is true.
Best case for A&M is they do what Bama did to Mettenberger. It felt like total dogshit for us but for Bama fans that must have been hugely satisfying to see Mett belly crawl after that final blow late in the game with the final outcome long settled.
Nuss, like Mett, is gritty.

I just wanna know what his new catchphrase/hashtag will be.
First it was "ComeToTheFAU".
Now "ComeToTheSip".
"ComeToTheVille"?
I don't know the cool names for Gainesville.

This is the very definition of a trap game.
In order for it to be a trap, one would have to believe Carolina has a realistic chance to win.

South Carolina would literally lose a game of football against 93 percent of Alabama high school teams.
Sure.
And Bama would beat 93 percent of NFL teams.

#2 Texas A&M (-2.5) - A&M hasn't won in Baton Rouge since 1994. Night game at LSU may be the toughest environment in all of football. The home team has won 8 in row in this match up. I see nothing to break this trend this year.
I want to agree with this but it is really hard to believe that Brian Kelly can motivate this team right now.
When Les had his back against the wall in 2015, he came out swinging. Granted, still got fired in 2016.
I don't envy A&M. LSU is going to be very hungry for a win and eager to derail A&M's (so far) perfect season.
I just think a lot of us are having trouble believing BK really has that fire within him to get it done.
Regardless, still losing to Bama. Oklahoma game should be interesting.
I think either Ole Miss or A&M are in the playoff, maybe both.
BK keeps his job with 3 losses. 4 or more losses and the seat gets a lot hotter.

Side note, I took the kid to Disneyland this summer and was surprised that I actually liked the new version of the ride. I mean it's Disney but they have a nice tribute to New Orleans going on there. But maybe I'm too woke from living on the West Coast for decades.
Regardless, I'll always feel most at home in my briar patch.

I am disappointed you didn't come straight out with "got Aggy on your mind!"
In all seriousness, I was trying to get shite done IRL. Been busy at work. I try to quit this place but it never fully takes. I blame Message Board Geniuses. They are the equivalent of putting a full fifth of liquor under the nose of an recovering alcoholic.
