It kind of stresses me out to think about what is going through his head at night when he’s trying to go to sleep. Or if he’s even able to sleep.

A lot of people don’t like the MOU that guarantees ND a playoff spot if in the Top12. Honestly I don’t really have a problem with it.
All the power conference champions are practically guaranteed a spot in the playoffs as long as they don’t suck (Duke). Notre Dame isn’t in a conference, so I don’t mind them having their own “path” to make the playoffs like all the P4 teams. Just don’t make that part stupid easy like Top20 or something… I’m fine with Top10 or Top12 guarantee for them. Everyone else is guaranteed a spot if they win their conference and finish in the Top12.

Notre Dame - in anger - forfeited millions of actual cash and more millions in free PR by opting out of the bowl. It was a short-sighted decision based out of frustration/anger. The only loser here, financially and otherwise, is Notre Dame.

Not really a huge deal IMO…. All teams are effectively assured a spot in the playoff if they finish in the Top10-ish…. So really not that different than the other conferences

I’m definitely no Bama fan… but in my mind it’s clear Miami and Bama should be in… Notre Dame out

Miami argument … beat Notre Dame and played virtually identical SOS as Notre Dame. Also beat Pitt like Notre Dame.
Bama argument … Top2 in SEC, won at #3 Georgia and vs #14 Vanderbilt
Notre Dame argument … it “feels” like Notre Dame is a really good team right now.
