There are very few "week off" games in this league. If they thought games in Morgantown in front of 50K were tough, hold on to your hats.
Consider that Arkansas, Texas A&M, Missouri, and quite likely LSU will be insanely hostile to Texas. The Mississippi schools probably won't be too fond of them either. It is one thing to be hated by Big 12 schools, it is another to have peer or near peer level schools hate you.
In the long run this might be a good thing for the Whorns. They can sleep walk through the Big 12. If they don't want to be the West version of Vandy they are going to have to step their game up in the SEC.

Even the B12 has been taking Texas's lunch money. They lost to Kansas. KANSAS.

Dude....we've sucked for 13 years. We lost to Kansas at home. Beating Iowa State is not even a possibility for us anymore. Reality has been gut-punching us for a long time.
The SEC move has a chance to save us. Hopefully, this will motivate university leadership to hire a real AD who will then hire a real head coach.
I would still bet the farm on Texas winning an SEC conference title before A&M.

Except you won't be able to get a real head coach because of your meddling boosters. Your hope should be that after being laughed at and told to sit down they humble themselves and start working together. We know that won't happen though so I would learn to embrace the suck.

The thing they aren’t ready for - that A&M wasn’t ready for - is the depth.
Starters are good - two deep is good - redshirt freshman that gets a few downs is good.
You can wear down a KState or Texas Tech - it doesn’t happen in the SEC - and it’s every damn weekend.

I would genuinely like to know what our boosters do that is uniquely bad to Texas. Not guesses. How do you, or anyone else, know exactly what our boosters are doing to sabotage the Texas program?

We don't have it now, but it wasn't all that long ago that Texas was as deep as anyone. I'm talking legit talent.
In the era of facemasks, a&m has never had a team like that.

Can you change your allegiance to a different School in the SEC and then repost this, because coming from a Missouri fan it holds absolutely no weight.
A broken Oklahoma will walk into the SEC above Missouri, but when the day comes that we do move over we will be a hell of a lot better positioned than you might think right now.

Welcome to the SEC. We got places alot scarier than Stillwater and Waco in this conference

A&M has never had that kind of depth? After this recruiting class, A&M will have solid depth across every single position on the field.

I don't have anything fueling my dislike for Texas, other than the fact that while there's nothing in this world that orange can't make uglier... that Burnt Orange in Austin is literally vomit-inducing.
Hate for all things Texass is in my DNA, but I couldn't agree more about their shitty colors. Tennessee orange is arse as well.

Oklahoma will walk in the SEC struggling.

OU is going from having the 2nd largest stadium capacity in the Big 12 to having the 9th largest in the new conference.
That's bottom half.
Damn that is sobering.
this isnt 1994 dude.
Id' rather OU make their stadium even smaller but with a better experience. Better views, services, suites, and less traffic.
If stadium size still mattered Michigan and Tennessee would have like 3 nattys each in the last 20 years.

But don't let that interfere with your fabricated narrative

It was merely an illustration of how OU will go from being rich uncle Pennybags to slap in the middle of the middle class.
All of the advantages that OU had in the Big 12 will be gone.
The athletic budget, facilities, talent advantage, prestige and tradition, etc all are negated in the new conference.
I'm not shitting on OU, I'm actually impressed they decided to join the lions den. Its really rough when 7 conference members have all won National Championships since the BCS began in 98 and some of them have won multiple. That doesn't even include UGA and A&M.
Every single school sans Vanderbilt has 100+ million dollar athletic budget and most schools are talent rich states, unlike the Kansas schools and Iowa State etc.
Even small states like Mississippi pump out loads of high-end talent because of the demographics of the south east.
A lot of good coaches will be fired. Only 1 team can win. Lincoln Riley was right to get the frick out.

Ah Georgia fans like you really make me want to cheer for Bama. So how about you stfu and let me enjoy Georgia beating Bama on Saturday?
Also I know you own us on the football field, but I was in Athens when we beat your arse there in 2013. Your downtown was a ghost town afterward. Pretty funny and cowardly stuff.
So. Since that’s all I have

The Athletic budget is going to increase by joining the SEC. OU is pretty much annually on the list of the top football value schools.
Their prestige and history is not going to be a victim of the cancel culture. It wasn't that long ago that OU had the most wins since WW II. I haven't seen a current list but they should still be in the top 3.
