During the early years of OIF I got stuck in Bahrain during R&R. Went to the bar and ran into a bunch of recalled O5s that were on TDY status traveling around the ME. I thought "what a sweet gig". But that was from a 1LT's perspective at that...

most expats I know (or wannabe expats in waiting) leave due to the deals they are able to get. Many of them early retirees or remote workers.
Homes/lands/homesteads can be found on the cheap in places like Portugal and italy. There are some towns in italy that even offer incentive packages.

We basically have two choices.
1. Balance the budget and slowly pay down the debt. You will have to cut spending and raise revenue somehow which will result in a contraction in GDP. All these years people wrongly stated "deficit spending creates growth". What they really meant is it borrows grow...

this is the risk with Trump. Very little self control.
Biden is having about the worst 2 days of his presidency and Trump cant help but bring attention to himself.
He'd still be president if he had a little more self control in that first debate.
I will still vote for him of course.

Not sure they can just stop everything without some consideration going to the people that they contracted with for future deliveries.
