I couldn't disagree more. People always accuse the folks running Texas athletics of being arrogant to a fault. This is a correct assessment.
We have know for years that playing difficult OOC road games is stupid in regards to making the playoff. Texas has played the 3 hardest consecutive OOC road games I've ever season the last 3 seasons. This year it finally bit us and we lost. Replace Ohio State with Texas State in week 1 and Texas is in the playoffs. We didn't, and we are on the couch watching Texas Tech, Oklahoma and A&M in the playoff. Why? Arrogance.
Beating Michigan today is meaningless. Our 2 irreplacable players should be safeguarded in this meaningess exhibition to make sure they are healthy for next season. They won't be. Why? Arrogance.
Texas, for some reason that is God's own private mystery, is not being managed to win national championships. I care more about national titles than the Citrus Bowl.

One of the Texas talking heads on YouTube said Texas is without more starters from the regular season than Michigan. I don't know if that is true, but I do know our LB and RB groups are a complete mess.
Personally, I don't think Arch Manning or Colin Simmons should take a single snap in this meaningless exhibition.
