I would genuinely like to know what our boosters do that is uniquely bad to Texas. Not guesses. How do you, or anyone else, know exactly what our boosters are doing to sabotage the Texas program?
I mean, I'm sure an essay could be written about Red McCombs alone.

Welcome to the SEC. We got places alot scarier than Stillwater and Waco in this conference

And those places and teams regularly whoop Missouri's arse, just like Oklahoma is going to do when you start traveling to Norman again.

BTW, Stillwater and Waco would have both folded Missouri over like a lawn chair this year. Just because your team is in the SEC, doesn't make your team a power. Stop riding off the successes of other teams in your conference and spout actual shite talk about your own team. If you're left with nothing to say, maybe STFU.

OU is going from having the 2nd largest stadium capacity in the Big 12 to having the 9th largest in the new conference.
That's bottom half.

Damn that is sobering.

this isnt 1994 dude.

Id' rather OU make their stadium even smaller but with a better experience. Better views, services, suites, and less traffic.

If stadium size still mattered Michigan and Tennessee would have like 3 nattys each in the last 20 years.

Big stadiums don't win you a Natty but if you look at who has been most successful in the SEC and Nationally over the last 15 years it is almost all schools with bigger stadiums than you. It's more of an opening ante not a guarantee. Having a small stadium is just a negative to be used against you.

Ohio State, Bama, LSU, Georgia all have 90k plus. Take a look at the recruiting rankings and notice a pattern? Clemson has been successful with just an 83k stadium and Auburn and FSU won Natty's a decade ago with smaller stadiums but the SEC is an arms race far beyond what you are accustomed to.

What you don't want to do is try to explain how you are going to make your stadium smaller to a recruit when you are already small and then let them go the next weekend somewhere that is 20k bigger and looking to expand. That doesn't even get into the facilities war.

You just think you are rich until you see what rich is. Being in the SEC is like deciding if the Ferrari or the Lambo or the AMG is better and everyone is getting the latest model every other year.

How would they have done vs the 1st and 2nd team in the league since that is the better equivalent?

thanks for the advice. I will file it in my "how to win a natty" advice from aTm fans folder.

What isn't you don't get it about Drinkwitz? he is very young and is recruting by far the best in Mizzou history! Past HCs at Mizzou had their recruiting classes in the 30s and 40s that is not the way to get it done in order to compete against teams that recruit in the top 20 yearly. Drinkwitz is the missing link that have haunted Mizzou for so long. Recruiting is the key! He is doing it the right way! Not the way Odom was doing or some of the past Mizzou HCs were doing. Gary Pinkel did what he could but recruiting wasng good enough to make it to the next level. Drinkwitz is on his way to get that done. It won't happened until he gets all of the highly recruits all on the field at the same time. So next year will make some improvements the following year after should be the year to make a huge impact.

I smell fear. Those conference championship trophies aren't coming your way so easily anymore.

Territory University of Norman was founded prior to Oklahoma becoming a state. The name was changed to the University of Oklahoma after statehood.

I doubt it, aggie came in here thinking they were better than anyone not named Bama and they haven't changed a bit. Heck, some folks from other teams have bought into that crap.

texas schools as a whole believe they are bigger and better because they are in texas. Might have been a little true to a degree because of the amount of quality players they had back then, but that don't translate here. When we joined I noticed that most of teams we played were good bowl teams, and we were going to play them damn near every week.

Though we're not going to win 13 conference titles here, I don't regret the move, except now when all this texas riffraff is following us here.

It's definitely an arms race. I would say every team in the conference has made serious commitments to football except Vanderbilt of course.

Didn’t Vandy just announce $300M in facility upgrades? That’s a huge step. However, that same enthusiasm needs to be applied to a HC search. Time for Vandy to throw around some big dick money for a coach. The money is there.

The thing they aren’t ready for - that A&M wasn’t ready for - is the depth.

But when you faced a team that started 3rd stringers and freshmen, aggie still aggied.
