How would you have felt if they went out and counterprotested the Confederate group? And someone got hurt or worse?
This seems like a safe alternative for them to express their opinion on the subject on a large platform. I’ll take a peaceful protest anyday.

I mean...the neo-Confederates who are protesting on the campus of Ole Miss are stupid hillbillies. I just think it dumb to kneel for the anthem of the country that defeated said Confederates as a form of protest.
If anything, they should be standing tall in front of Old Glory as the rednecks outside want the Confederate flag hanging beside it.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe they aren’t kneeling to protest the American flag? And instead simply utilizing a time to bring attention to a situation? Seems to be working. This thread is an example.
