re: Anything more ridiculous then watching Stephen A

Thinking boys can be girls and girls can be boys is pretty ridiculous. Maybe even the winner. Certainly more ridiculous than watching Stephen A.
Looked like the 3rd baseman just whiffed to me. The throw wasn't that hard. The amatuer scorekeeper in me says error at 3rd.

Quite the contrary. Most just don't believe her. Not emotion just reading comprehension. She's playing the metoo! game in a hit article. If she left it at the pic , " leave the door open" part of the story she'd be believable. But she just had to throw "grooming", as a 27 year old already married to a 38 year old pro golfer who she now, post divorce, claims is of the same ilk as Phil. She's a liar and/or paid propagandist for the purposes of a hit piece article. She's quite literally the source in which the entire article is built around. The rest is 2nd/3rd hand info not told directly to the reporter. Even the ex-husband/Phil's friend and person who should be upset, basically no commented.

If he signed his NIL deal then yes. Remember the quarterback from Washington that was entertaining going to LSU and they were looking into his buyout.
That was a 2 year college deal in which he had fulfilled half of. Nothing to do with HS nil.

have heard of this happening. They are starting to pay them in high school so the school that flips them has to deal with the money they have already received.
Correct. Currently only 5 states don't allow it, Alabama, Mississippi, Hawaii, Indiana, Wyoming. Different rules and circumstance based on the state. Missouri allows particular advantages for kids committed to instate schools, in Texas you must be 17, etc. However, most dont allow university infused NIL payments to HS kids. Yet most do it anyway. People with money generally know how to launder it.

You are correct here, but not in the first part of what you posted. No addict loves being an addict.
You hate yourself every second while you inject that needle, pop that pill, or take that drink. You hate every minute of what you're doing.
And you still do it. There is no pleasure in it. There is no fun in it.
That is what it means to be an addict/alcoholic.
Say it again for those in the back. These threads always let you know who has and hasn't been personally affected by an addict. Not a random 3rd cousin, a person you genuinely love and can't picture life without. Those hit home far different than watching a random from afar and passing judgement based on social norms. Gives a clearer perspective of the destruction addiction causes and the changes to good people that result from it. Social use is a choice. Addiction is not. They can look the same from afar.

Where they lost me. Sure the Mickelson stuff is likely true and he needs to be outed but her comments give me the uneasy feeling that untruths are being used to validate truths. She reached here. If a 27 year old woman is groomable, who isn't? It's a hit piece even if the overall arc about Mickelson is true. Woe is me, a female that likely has given that poon to countless guys not named Phil Mickelson. Im sure they groomed her too. She even doubled down later on comparing her ex husband to Phil. Whores fricking aren't victims, they're transactions.

They need to start rating these guys purely off of production in the portal
Damn near impossible when kids haven't played and are entering the portal. They didn't lose talent. See Jordan Ross. We are paying 1.2 to 1.5 mil (depending whos telling)for 1.5 sacks and 6 tackles. We celebrated the signing as if he were the 5* hs recruit the year prior. We would've done the same if it were Coleman. Production was secondary to talent.
Coleman is ineligible for d1 play this year. Portal window is closed(he surely hasn't graduated) and bis options are drop down, juco or spend the year getting over his mental issues. Regardless with 5 to play 5, the year for him is lost in terms of money and d1 play.

Atkins is a stat padder who graded really poorly everywhere else.
He's a great athlete, but not nearly as complete of a player as the raw numbers indicate. Whit Weeks, who played over Atkins, is a significantly better player.
Perhaps but the part you left out is one can stay on the field the other can't. Weeks could be the best LB in the country but it's no good if he isn't playing. Health matters when determining who's better. The one on the field wins by default.
The point was Atkins or Keys, Atkins all day and tomorrow.

Cat eat bird world. The bird has its defenses the cat has its predatory instincts. It's not the cats fault they are higher on the totem pole. Humans wipe out animals by the billions. They dont keep us caged up and repress our predatory instincts do they? We are alpha, as the cats are to birds.

Definitely a major reason. But not the sole reason for most.
Spot on. Morso this year than the past few, the programs willing to keep upping the price separate themselves from the pack eventually. Even among them it's relationships, fit, development as always that get the kids. The money at the highest of highs is essentially in the same ballpark. So while THE factor, when the money's even, other factors matter.
In many cases, ancillary benefits make the difference. Land deals as rumored in the Brewster recruitment, Adidas deals with Tennessee, jobs, houses side deals etc.

Liking a specific Black person does not exempt someone from holding racist beliefs or practicing discrimination. Racism operates on multiple levels—ranging from broad societal structures down to unconscious personal biases—meaning that positive feelings toward an individual can easily coexist with prejudice against their racial group as a whole.
You're describing stereotyping not racism.
Example, your first sentence. Genuinely liking any black person for any reason proves that you dont hate black people purely because of their skin. If you did you wouldn't like any black people for any reason purely because of their skin. Racism 101.
2nd part of your statement, pointing out that I dont purposely put myself in the hood after dark isnt racist its stereotyping due to the factual information of crime statistics. I also wouldn't trek into a mostly white biker bar that has a history of trouble. Is that racist or is that stereotyping based on factual knowledge? Facts arent racist or discriminatory. They are just facts interpreted as such.

Not that hard to not say racist shite on an athletic field..
By that measure its also not hard to not think or say racist shite anytime. Athletic fields are part of everyday life, for professional athletes, their life is encompassed by what happens on them. If they think and say racist things in other walks of life and its OK, then athletic fields shouldn't be held to a different standard. No one should think or say racist things ever but yet we all do.
Policing this is akin to telling your child its OK to cuss just not where I can hear.

Whichever one he decides to commit to full time. Rarely do situations like his amount to anything after their recruitment. It's just sales. Neither program(LSU/Nebraska) really feels the kid is gonna be ultra successful at both. He's gonna have to choose if he wants to move forward. Anomalies exist for sure but history tells us its more likely much ado about nothing.
quote:
It is only extreme when judged against modern society's moral failings. For most of history, abortion has been on the criminal side of the law. A just and proper society cannot and should not condone it. There have always been ways to handle the situations you mentioned and I presume there always will be.
For the record I believe abortions are morally wrong.
That said it is nuanced in regards to rapes, mother's wellbeing, birth defects etc. To that end we get to the quoted part of your message.
There's no question there's a lack of morality in factions of the world. But it didn't just begin in modern society. Pre abortion/modern society, mothers died due to childbirth, kids produced by rape and with birth defects were taken to term, then thrown in rivers, off cliffs, throats cut, left outside to die etc. Not much morality in that.
Morality has no place in legality. The immoral dont care about whether their acts are legal or not. Only the moral care about laws or go out of their way to abide by them, even then selectively. Take away abortion, those babies will still be killed. The how's, when's, wheres are all that would change. The way its done now is making the best of a bad situation. Babies properly disposed of instead of littering our trash cans and waterways. Banning abortion will not end abortion or the killing of unwanted children. It's always been and will always be.
I guess we could return to the days of "Orphan Trains". Even still, morality would be the question of the day. Kill them before birth or entitle them to life full of abuse, torture and eventual death. Let your own moralilty decide which is more humane. Would that be considered progress or would we be right back where we started?

Whenever the lineman went from being 250 lb to 330 lb behemoths with athleticism would be the cutoff. College kids these days would run right through those guys with modern rules. Sure those guys were tough and hard but bigger, faster, better athletes with modern rules would destroy them. Maybe as recent as the 70s. The 70s Steelers with all those Hall of Famers would have issues with the young kids today just based on size, strength and athleticism. DL these days are faster and at times more athletic than wrs of that era. Beating a team consistently that is more athletic, faster and bigger at almost every position is a tough row to hoe no matter how tough and smart you are. That goes for your backyard, hs, college and the pros.

TAM lean with ND possibly there for the steal. We bailed a while ago, for now, while Miami, #1 or 2 for years, bailed out yesterday i believe. High tag for a LB and at the moment TAM/ND are the willing buyers.

Dont get the hate. She was brought to Texas Tech to compete for titles. They made the title series twice in a row. Not her fault that her career has been encompassed by one fleeting dynasty(Oklahoma) followed by an ascending one(Texas). We can bitch about the compensation but its not our money. More power to her getting what the market said she was worth in college. Any of us would do the same in reality no matter what we say on a message board. Been lots of basketball and football players making far more than her with only an inkling of the success. Bitch about the ones on your favorite team that didn't win anything.
