Why is it people don't understand this?
What we dont understand is why they prefer to alienate the other 300 million? Do the math. 300 million English speaking Americans for an American product spending American money already bought in vs attempting to draw in maybe 100 million fickle, mostly very poor, fans that only care long enough to watch the halftime show. Sounds like good business to me. This ain't fricking soccer, or futbol as they prefer to call it. It was a pure political play by liberal media moguls no different than the gay/black push of recent years. Both are losing sum business models. Obviously that pales in comparison to jabbing Trump and the white man. Priorities, you know.

College football no longer exists. It's professional college football now.
The point was its a better product. It is. And average NFL qbs make more than any roster in college football which has 105 players. Maybe the college kids deserve a raise.

Mate he gave up less than a handful of sacks here what are you talking about. He was an elite college football player for LSU.
Now let's discuss the other half of offensive football, the running game. He was never elite as a run blocker. Got put on his arse multiple times his Jr season. Want to know the difference in those two things? Strength. All NFL players have strength. Plus speed. Hence, he struggles. He was pegged in HS as an OG.

much so that guys that stake their careers to making these decisions said he’s worth taking with the FOURTH pick out of every NFL eligible player.
Did Mel Kiper retire on his own terms after decades doing that job? He was mid at best at it. As for NFL team scouts, they lose their jobs all the time. Know why? They staked their careers on guys they shouldn't have. So much for that argument.
LSU football hasn't been largely successful but they've hardly been irrelevant.
Since the title in '19
Covid where no one was relevant short of Bama but we were in the news due to racial unrest
We were irrelevant in '21 until we stole Brian Kelly from ND so not so irrelevant after all
SEC champions
Daniel's Heisman campaign
Were pretty good until Nuss started crapping the bed
Huge expectations after winning the portal, fired Kelly, stole the best coach available from a top 5 playoff team in the midst of their run, absolutely drug our nuts over the transfer portal.
Seems even when we arent good people just cant stop discussing LSU football. Reminds of what Saban told us years ago and reiterated to Kiffin, "LSU is the best job in America".
And im no sunshine pumper. Facts are facts.
Basketball has been irrelevant since the Brady Final Four unless Wade and his "damn strong offer" drama counts. Certainly not due to winning anything of significance.

Dude grew up the in the most affluential suburb of Columbus with a high school campus that rivals small colleges, and his mom was a local celebrity.
Which part of that background makes him more violent?
I think he was pretty clear, the black part. No matter the affluence, the black part remains and, statistically, thats a bad lot. "You can take the black boy out the ghetto but you cant take the ghetto out the black boy".
T9 be fair, most "legends" from those times arent based in much truth. The black history side certainly has some of the bigger ones that are almost entirely false. Rosa Parks anyone?
Good dude, perfect voice for his music and pretty damn underrated band in the grand scheme. This one makes me pause a minute. Big fan.

My greatest night as a sports fan. Those were real tears when Porter made that pick.
The fact he is a CIA construct. To me hes no different than Osama Bin Laden. A figurehead for evil and the brainchild of the CIAs role in the plan to deconstruct America and reinvent it to fit their preferences.
re: "We Built This City" is often labeled as the Worst/most annoying song of all time. BS.

As a kid growing up in rural North LA(Crowville) and having a traumatic event shortly after its release, "We built this city" is an ode to the innocence of my childhood and better times before disaster struck. It will never be annoying to me only a fond memory of a time I cherish and long for again. A bliss that flows through my body whenever I hear it.

Adidas paid him to be a sponsored athlete and just gave Tennessee a frick ton of money.
2 things can be true, Adidas pays Keys and Tennessee. Adidas also pays Jeremiah Smith a lot more than Keys. Nike pays Ohio St. Was the Adidas tie in a factor, an excuse or both? Guess we will never know. Precedent says it wouldnt matter to Adidas where he suits up. Kelly dropped the ball and Tennessee outbid everyone. The latter is all that really mattered. Miami, another major suitor of Keys and Smith, is an Adidas school as well. We know they throw money around. Not enough in those 2 cases and that mattered more than what apparel company pays them.
re: LSU’s “40 million dollar roster “
Posted by lsufanva on 2/5/26 at 7:30 am to CatsGoneWild
Well Golesh reported Auburns roster is 30 mil and hes the head coach so about as honest as were gonna get. Compare it to ours. Then compare it to the other spenders. Compare ours to other spenders. 40 mil is about right id say. Maybe more. We've got roughly 10 mil tied up in Leavitt, Seaton and our 2 5* DL recruits. Do the math on the other 90 or so kids and 40 mil adds up quickly.

Zyron Forstall. Not too sure on that one but I thought he was leaning USC or was he always set on leaving the Louisiana regardless.
Everyone is chasing TAM atm. Not sure hes necessarily hellbent on leaving LA, though he already has, as much as hes hellbent on taking the best offer. His recruitment is pure NIL. No different than Stewart's.

People aren't just jumping to that conclusion based on current political propaganda.
Quite the contrary if you read the thread. Don't know about jumping to conclusions, but the majority of those that initiated the conversation purely did so due to Guthries hard stance defending illegals. Definitely suggesting just how ironic it would be if it were an illegal. The conversation took over the thread thereafter.

The national On3 guys think LSU is working from behind with Martin and that he’s trending to Bama. It’s very early tho
To add to this, Shea alluded to the fact its likely a one or the other with Miles and Martin.
I suspect it'll be a great class but not necessarily large. Schools are gonna start hedging on paying major bucks for ha kids thar are just gonna tease their price while doing nothing for 2 years. Use the Jaime French time at Texas as an example. He wasnt cheap out of hs and didnt do anything as a freshman. Also failed to budget in his asking price. Texas said goodbye after a year of tooting their horn about landing him and that #1 class that looks for different now. Buyers remorse.
re: How would Bird fare today?
Posted by lsufanva on 2/3/26 at 7:33 am to prplhze2000
Hed be as great as he was. These conversations always seem to fail to discuss the differences in technology and strength/conditioning regiments along with style. Imagine the players of yesteryear with the advancements of today or more interesting, today's players with the lack of advancements they've taken advantage of. LeBron would be a different player under old rules and old strength/conditioning regiments. And HGH or whatever scientific enablements hes obviously used on his body. Not just LeBron, everyone. Cant compare 2 entirely different eras, styles and technological advancements without giving the old the benefits of them or new players lacking them. Bird born today would be an elite version of Cooper Flagg. LeBron for instance would be Magic Johnson. Curry more of a Reggie Miller but lacking that dog.

Show me where the Rooney rule states black coaches must be hired.
Therefore, what's the point? Affirmative action required hires at least.
Yet not a peep about the murders in the black community. No black should speak on any issue outside of black community issues until they clean those numbers up. Charleston Whites internet persona is a godsend. Too bad most of those hes trying to reach are too dumb to understand. Too busy trying to up their street profile by being sent to prison or put on a t shirt somewhere.
