And we all agree that it is ridiculous to call they had to do an “abortion”. I just think it’s gross that he and his wife seem so proud to continue to call it an “abortion”.

Because it’s legally and medically by definition an abortion.

He’s not “proud” to call it that. He’s trying to explain to your obtuse arse how it ends up being caught up in abortion bans because legislators don’t understand that their vague “legal” terms end up including procedures that are medically abortions but necessary to save lives.

and by “several state laws” you mean literally zero?

There are several states that have narrowly defined definitions of medical exemptions that often delay care.

The dude literally explained to you that they had to advocate for Tennessee to even pass exemptions to include ectopic pregnancies.

Do you even have any idea how common ectopic pregnancies are?

I don’t believe those morons you encountered actually understood what you and your wife personally went through. That still doesn’t make it an abortion. It’s weird you seem to want to claim this so badly

His point is that the legal terms matter because his case would be legally defined an abortion under several state laws (Kentucky is one those).

The larger issue is politicians often pass these laws without taking into legitimate consideration that a procedure like he described (which by legal definition is an abortion) may be needed.

And this isn't a bad career choice by any means. It's just unfortunate that it costs that much for your degree.

I don't disagree. Especially when I purposefully chose options to cut that cost. It could've been about $40K more.

Out of curiosity, what degree did you go for? With that amount of debt, you had to have been shooting for a strong career to repay it, right?

Psych. I'm a licensed therapist. Because I'm in private practice, I do make enough to cover my student loans and bills. But my fiance also makes good money so we live comfortably together.

That said, insurance keeps reducing reimbursement amounts (not something that you can really account for when going for that degree). So it may eventually force me to go private pay.

Go to community college for two years and save a boat load of money on tuition. Then transfer to the bigger school to finish. Basic classes in CC are going to teach you the same stuff an expensive school will.

I did CC for two years, finished at a state university, and then did grad school at a small private school that was cheaper than the big 4-year universities.

Still cost me about $70k.

Where was this post when Shithead Biden was in office, the guy who did his best to F up this country.

Wait, you think this board didn't complain about gas prices before Trump's second term?

The fact that there is a taxpayer Waterpark is not just as if not more worrisome?

Is it really much different than taxpayer dollars funding popular tourist attractions, to promote tourism economies? Or building community playgrounds?

This is obviously a special day for the Muslim community but will other religions be provided a special day as well?

Curious if they're renting it privately based on the article.

The Muslim-only event in June is being organized and run by the East Plano Islamic Center.

Kentucky Kingdom (which received public incentives for expansion locally and tax rebates to offset costs) often has days where only certain populations can access the park (like schools renting out for field trips, local churches for Christian-specific days, etc).

There’s no nightlife and the local restaurants are ok.

Agreed on the nightlife (the Highlands isn’t what it used to be for that and 4th Street remains tourist trap). But disagree on the food.

If you like Wild Eggs highly recommend trying Con Huevos, Gralehaus, Highland Mourning (one of the original owners of Wild Eggs).
Yep. And Jose won the Oaks yesterday (I think won 4-5 races on top of that as well). Dude did well for himself this week.
Was with Chad Brown for a long time before she went out on her own.
That was one of the more insane closing runs I’ve seen in a long time. Wow.

Thankfully he didn’t fall on his jock. That could’ve been really bad.
It’s a modern epic and probably the last time CGI looked really good in a major movie.
Don’t make us break out the brooms tomorrow, Serraneaux.
