Dropped mine a couple of years ago. Not worth the hassle and too many kids activities going on considering the crappy game times now that everything is televised.

Drove through the bottom half of Louisiana recently for the first time in several years. I expected to see some nice upgrades to Baton Rouge but it was actually the opposite, the same crappy roads and aging commercial properties. Obviously the local Baton Rouge economy is still fueled by the same three things as always, resale of alcohol, video poker, and LSU t-shirt sales.
Got me wondering why the football coach would leave Oxford for Baton Rouge, then it dawned on me. The coach always likes to feel like the smartest guy in the room and that’s in direct conflict to the ole Miss fan base as that’s the way their fans like to portray themselves. LSU is the opposite, they don’t care at all about being the smartest as reflected by their massive debt within the athletic department. Their fans just want to lay claim to the drunkest guy in the room so the coach and the fans are tailor-made for each other.
Also thought the billboard with the basketball coach encouraging something along the lines of people buying local was pretty clever considering the roster is about 75% imports, with not one Boudreaux to be found on it, but more on that when basketball tips off.

He’s gotten more national publicity since December than he got the whole time he was at Ole Miss. Doesn’t seem like he’s contend with just winning a championship(s). Seems like he thrives more off the attention he gets.
