You can finance construction but can you finance the NIL payroll? I suppose they could throw the construction interest they pay toward NIL but I assume they’ve factored that into planned ticket price increases that would cover the renovation plus add more to the bank account, in theory. But at some point the fans run out of money.

Local coffee shop had some sort of poster in the window promoting an alphabet drag show celebration and a bar in Jackson so I won’t be going to the coffee shop anymore.
My local Columbia store has had a rainbow thing on the window for quite a while and I won’t buy anything Columbia anymore more.

Something about protests at ICE detention facilities in New Jersey on my local ABC affiliate. Was a story from ABC News. Not sure who the gal was who made that comment, but I thought it was an odd thing to point out “in protest”.

If you’re looking to feel at home, west of I-55 will give you a definite Baton Rouge vibe, but just like in BR keep your head on a swivel and don’t come to a full stop at red lights over there.

I’ve been twice and figured I’d hate it but son wanted to go. Figured a 2 hour time limit there wouldn’t be much baseball but I was wrong. Pitcher stays on the rubber, batter can’t step out of the box. All fielders have to touch the ball after a walk or the runners keep running. Creates baseball plays when it generally a guy taking off an elbow guard, shin guards, batting gloves etc. guy went from 2nd to home on a walk on a bang bang play. Then first game went to extra innings and I thought it was great how they did that. Not your standard baseball but definitely had entertainment value from a baseball perspective.
