Our secret for success in basketball and football has always been to be a blue collar and grind it out type of team. Basketball hired the right coach for that then he either decided or someone decided for him that we needed to pursue offense and it bit us.

Football went with a finesse coach starting with Moorhead and has tanked ever since, with the exception of Leach coming in and slowing the downward spiral. He had that old school toughness about him, but even so we still tended toward more finesse type players.

Not to derail and I appreciate his response and the intent, but does anybody else find it troubling that 13 year olds are in this facility, even absent the issue regarding tallywhackers?

My mother taught at a small southern private school, K-12 grade, and I went there for my whole K-12 education. I don't remember seeing girls physically fight. Ever. Not one time. Boys, yes. Especially in PE or in the context of sports when tempers might flare due to the competitive and physical nature of the activity. And the younger the grade, the more fights I can remember.

Same here. First time I saw a girl throw a punch was outside the cafeteria in college after I was exposed to a more diverse group of people. She jumped on her boyfriend. He didn’t fight back, just covered up and took it.
