I don’t recall JPW being a can’t miss recruit out of high school.

He averaged 370 yards and 3.6 touchdowns per game last season...

, i would go with Matt Stafford.

I always though Stafford was underutilized by Richt. That guy could wing it out of the stadium and how many times did y’all really open up the playbook and have him chuck the ball down the field? The 07 game against us was pretty much the only time I ever saw him constantly go deep.

How old are you?
As a florida fan, im shocked that you dont remember 2008.
Our running game was struggling and Bobo released the mad bomber (stafford). All we did was go deep. It led to 54% completiom, 3 INTs, and 4 three and outs. Florida won 49-10 (joe cox put up the last TD to give us 10).

Put another way, Florida had TD drives of 25 yards, 30 yards, 1 yard, and 41 yards. All because we took deep shots all game.

He ended up drafted and in the NFL. He might could have done more...if our OL wasn't so damn terrible.

If I wanted to stage a coup, I would want Jonathan Crompton as my leader. There isn't anyone he can't overthrow.

For Auburn it’s easily Jereme Johnson. I know the signs were there that Gus should have seen that the fans saw in spring training. Behind that it’s tough to really go with one because we haven’t had the big mega recruit at QB other than Cam Newton. Tyrik Rollison could have turned out better if he had gotten his shite together and went to class.

Tua being overrated is a product of media. He didn't get a Heisman, so what? Any team would take his production most years.

He ended the year tied for 7th in passing TDs. he played 3 games. Bo Nix didn't pass him until the last game.

For Comps, Mac Jones had 8 in 3 games. Mond (the best qb in the sec) had 7.

How about Robert Lane? Dude was supposed to be a football god and couldn't beat out Brent Schaeffer or Seth Adams (who were both busts) and got moved to TE.

But yeah Snead unfortunately. Coach O gave him the playbook and told him to take out what he didn't like and add what he wanted and basically rebuilt the entire offensive scheme around him. Sucks all that work and he couldn't be consistent.

I don’t think the OP is talking about recruiting ranking. These guys didn’t play enough to be overrated.

Kyler Murray.

Just because he won a Heisman at Oklahoma doesn't mean he wasn't overrated as frick when he played at A&M.

Agreed . . he got playing time with 3 starts and eight games played. Whatever was in the water that year made him less than compelling with 5 TDs and 7 picks.

Ho took off like a moonshot under Lincoln Riley so I am guessing it has to do with Sumlin, Spav, and empty bottles of hooch.

I don't think Seth Adams can be considered a bust but Brent Schaeffer sure can. Although he was put in the worst possible offense for his skill set. He would have been much better under Freeze

Agreed.
Every QB recruit at UGA is a 4 star or better (even logan grey).
Only 1 qb gets the ball.

He's the all time passing leader in the SEC.

And you could make the argument that he's the best QB in UGA history.
