re: Why couldn’t tom Osborne win a title until 1994?

And I'm sure Nebraska isn't the only school that had 6 partial qualifiers over several years. They were playing by the same rules everyone else was able to
LOL.They had far more than that and while others in the Big 8 could do it no other school "institutionalized"
the rule like Nebraska and they were the ONLY Big 12 school that wanted to keep those standards in place.
quote:
While all eight schools accepted these athletes, Nebraska became the face of the rule because they institutionalized it on an unprecedented scale. Head coach Tom Osborne famously created a specialized program to support, tutor, and finance "Prop 48" athletes, allowing them to pay their own way or receive alternative funding for a year before earning full athletic scholarships. [1, 2, 4, 5]
This came to a dramatic head during the 1995 formation of the Big 12 Conference. Led by the University of Texas, incoming members demanded a total ban on non-qualifiers. The subsequent vote passed 11-1. Nebraska was the single opposing vote

But none of those guys were partial qualifiers under Prop 48
But these guys were and made significant contributions to Nebraska's success

NCAA began steroid testing in '86
And I believe Nebraska lost 7 straight bowl games in the late 80's/early 90's
Then he was able to recruit partial qualifiers to build his mid 90's powerhouse teams.

home and home series was layup for the SEC. Of course, Sankey just let the ball bounce right off his head
This is an agreement between the 2 schools.Sankey has nothing to do with it nor should he.
Do you really want the commissioner deciding what goes on between two SEC rivals?

You can then purchase those tickets and resell them, if you're not wanting to go to the event
Correct but there are exclusions and FIFA/World cup is one of them.Concerts have been a excellent source of revenue especially Taylor Swift...amazing what a parent will spend to make their teenage daughters happy
My 2 PSL's at MCB are one of the better investments I've ever made.

FIFY
Georgia isn't avoiding anything dumbass

We were often blasted for losing out on recruits in our own backyard
Rightfully so..
The 2017 NFL draft was one of the very worst examples. The state of Georgia produced more draft picks than any other state (17) and not one of those draft picks signed with UGA. The 2013 class was a disaster and the final nail in the coffin for CMR.

Just because Georgia hasn't been punished doesn't mean they haven't cheated.
Jan Kemp
Name me the NCAA rules broke with this so called "scandal"
BTW Jan Kemp was the best thing to ever happen to the UF and UT programs in the 90's. It took us at least 10 years to recover from all the bullshite publicity and"reforms" put in while our rivals were still doing the exact same thing.

You dont think the guys day drinking at a dive bar could have serious mental health problems?
Whatever issues they're having certainly isn't being helped by generous monthly subsidies by the VA with little incentives to get a job.

It's a huge scam
Agree. Don't live far from a huge VA facility.
Met several at a local dive bar and was full of day time
drinkers and almost were in on the PSTD disability scam.

then she told the protestors to "Go home
Sure at first she did and then she was 100% behind the protest. She also fired the officer involved in the Wendy's shooting who was NEVER charged and later reinstated. The Police Chief at the time resigned over her actions. She let armed thugs take over Pryor Street and also let protesters block interstates.

They had to add more officers because a record number resigned or "retired" in 2020 specifically because of her.
