re: No Doubt is having a Sphere residency. Can they pull that off?
Posted by madmaxvol on 5/8/26 at 3:13 pm to Bjorn Cyborg
I caught U2 there on their very last show at the venue. I said to myself then...there are only a handful of bands that can pull off a residency here. No Doubt was not one of those bands. Maybe they will surprise me.

Wealthy white males in the USA have one of the highest life expectancies, with top-income men living to roughly 87–89 years
You see a 1-2 year drop if:
They were moderate to heavy smokers in the past; Since Trump was not a heavy smoker in the past...this doesn't take him down.
They have high blood pressure; Trump has often mentioned extensive use of Aspirin (reportedly 325 mg/day). This would be less concerning, had his brother not died the way he did.
That's why I said that his expectancy is more likely closer to around 86.

Read it when I was a Freshman in college just for something to do to pass the time.

I may refer to it as "The Can of Moldy Crisco", when I speak of it...but I actually love the Count of Monte Cristo. It is so well written and is a great read.

It's a good show, and is worth watching.

Hey you stupid mother fricker, the life expectancy of an 80 year ole male in the us is EIGHT YEARS.
You don't just look at the current age...you also look into other factors that figure into the actuaries. For example:
Father's age when he died - 93
Mother's age when she died - 88
Sister's age when she died - 86 (one sister is still living and is 84)
Brother's age at death - Robert - 71 - Possibly brain bleeding related to a fall & use of blood thinners
Brother's age at death - Fred - 42 - alcohol abuse/heart attack
Actuarial tables look like they project somewhere around 86 as the life expectancy for Trump with family history and his prior & current lifestyle.

Toyota is addressing this. The "owner" of Toyota pledged $10 Billion investment in US Manufacturing (even though he wasn't the owner anymore and had been dead for 4 years).

What is the actual name of the party?
It is the "Democratic Party" that was founded in 1828. The governing body is the "Democratic National Committee".
The civic inept idiots need to stop being bothered by this, because we are a " Democratic Republic"...and the "Republican Party", led by the "Republican National Committee" is named so, to reflect this.
Democratic Representation and Republican Representation are two different things.
A purely Democratic system is ruled by a pure majority...a Republic (or Constitutional Republic) is where officials are elected to represent the citizens.
Most accurately...we are NOT a Democracy...we are a Constitutional Representative Republic. Getting your panties in a wad because of what a party calls themselves is a bit extreme.

My son Lefteris is a great pitcher (note...this is actually a current name being used for Greek boys, and is short for Elefherios). We were going to call him Nikos to try and get some Nike NIL money without being too obvious (like actually naming the kid Nike)...but Adidas came with a bigger check.

I’m probably going to make a trip this spring or summer. I have been to Silver Dollar City and liked it a lot. I hear Dollywood is comparable.
Dollywood used to be a Silver Dollar City theme park. Actually, 3 days ago was the 40th anniversary of Silver Dollar City reopening as Dollywood (May 3, 1986).
The history of the theme park is:
Rebel Railroad - 1961 - 1963
Goldrush Junction - 1964 - 1974
Goldrush - 1975 - 1976
Silver Dollar City - 1977 - 1985
Dollywood - 1986 - Present
Depending on the age of the kids...white water rafting down the Pigeon River in Townsend is a lot of fun. There are parts that have tubing for younger kids as well.

Had it not been for Ted Turner...the Chicago Cubs would have been the only MLB team I would have seen on TV on a regular basis. There's no telling how many classic movies I've become aware of because of him.
