LSU would have a strong lawsuit to sue the SEC and Sankey with the way he has bungled all of this

With that said, LSU was stupid to even entertain the Luis saga

The football players are no different then several players that are playing with injunctions

And as far as Tennessee goes, your day is coming soon!

it took a threat of expulsion to get LSU's attention.

For the millionth time, there was never a real threat of expulsion. That would have put the conference in breach of contract with Disney requiring a total re-negotiation of the deal. That is a multi-month or even multi-year process. You can't pull that off in a couple of weeks.

If the SEC was going to expel LSU in August 2026, they probably would have had to bring that to Disney by at least August 2025 to make it happen.

It's sad how many of you people fall for the gaslighting that's out there.

LSU was about to roster players who the SEC deemed ineligible.

Wrong.

The SEC made a rule AFTER those players came to LSU and ignored similar players at multiple other SEC schools.

Apply the rules equitably or shut the frick up.

Given that the SEC is trying to establish a governance system over state institutions that impacts state budgets it is a significant point that enforcement of punishment cannot be arbitrary

try to expel a charter member from the SEC and see where it gets the whole shooting match. It will be THE END of the major conference structure as we see it now and the end to hundred plus year old rivalries and associations. LSU is being scapegoating because it is standing up for itself.

You're such a bitch you shortened that gif so the Florida swampneck wouldn't shrivel after the LSU Chad flexed.

Sorry, we aren't going to fold while others get away with it we actually have balls.

And the funniest part, we followed the rules unlike others, but they STILL want to punish us. They are really barking up the wrong tree

And, I love how Sankey, one sad little man, thinks he is bigger than LSU. Good luck with that

LSU and it's brethren just doesn't get it. The future of college football if we can even call it that is a co-opetition model between the SEC and the Big10. The concept is two or more competitors working together collectively for the greater good of the product. The Big10 and the SEC now need each other.

What's occurring right before our noses is the SEC wanting to up their academic game and while maintaining competitive dominance in athletics. The opposite is true for the Big 10. I don't think the Big10s academic integrity has ever been questioned. The same can't be said for the SEC. Vanderbilt and Florida have carried the academic torch for this conference for the last 30 years. To a lesser extent Georgia. The addition of Texas, Texas A&M and Missouri all strengthen the academic profile of the conference.

I don't think LSU will be expelled in this round of the fight. I do think the SEC it's going to b**** slap LSU. LSU is going to have to humble themselves and do exactly as the SEC instructs. LSU is going to be on a very very short leash and the SEC is prepared to clip that leash at any time.

In times past a founding member would have never been expelled. This is not times past this is the future. Outside of athletics which LSU maintains little integrity LSU brings absolutely nothing and I mean nothing to the table as an institution of higher learning. Unfortunately the future of LSU is moving in the same direction as the state of Louisiana and Baton Rouge.

USA Today hasn't exactly been kind to LSU recently

Name one that has. Maybe it's because LOLSU is "lacking institutional control".

I am not a fan of USA Today but in this instance, they are spot on. LOLSU and Kiffin having continued to embarrass and push the envelope with the SEC board. While not having actually broken any rules, they continue to threaten to. I doubt the SEC board members would actually kick LOLSU out of the SEC but I could see them forcing LOLSU to take a severe monetary penalty.

Yes, a bill that Sankey and the SEC will have to pay out. They deprived players of pay when they were completely eligible per the NCAA.

Explain how LSU is lacking institutional control when they did not break any rules by rostering the players in question?
