quote:

So this is where we are now, and there’s no turning back. No safe exit for LSU.

This is what happens when you try to serve two masters, when you’re caught in the moment and fueled by the energy — before reality final arrives.

There are two choices for LSU in its four-month legal fight with the SEC, and neither is good: Follow conference rules and burn bridges with state and local politicians, or take your chances in federal court against the SEC.

quote:

LSU backed itself into this position with poor decisions and zero foresight, and is now stuck trying to thread the legal needle. And this time, outside the friendly confines of Louisiana jurisdiction.

LSU can get to the Nov. 18 hearing in a federal courtroom in Birmingham, Ala., where the SEC is suing to maintain its governing authority over conference members (see: punish bad actors). LSU can argue semantics and proclaim it never rostered players.

It can hide behind a legal barricade that players and their representatives shopped for a local judge and found a path to eligibility — not LSU. A path that just happened to strip the SEC of its authority to govern conference members.

quote:

Much like the original missed move of forbidding the rostering of professional players, Rousse could’ve stopped Kiffin intentionally embarrassing the league before it happened. He simply could’ve told Kiffin to steer clear from agitating the league office or the commissioner - or he will be fired for cause for embarrassing the university.

Rousse instead left Kiffin to his own volition, a move that, while entertaining, is also teeming with danger.

Which is not unlike this entire ordeal. It looks good and plays well to those in LSU’s orbit hungry for red meat.

But it falls flat and looks like lack of institutional control to the remaining 15 presidents and chancellors of the league. The same group that will decide LSU’s punishment if the SEC wins in court next month.

Lane and LSU will soon feel the back of Sankeys hand across their dirty faces.

Saint Sankey shall smit the LSU filth right out the door of the SEC

Read 3 words just for fun and the words were “follow conference rules”. What rule has LSU not followed? Post and article are dumb.

They know damn well they’re not just “following a court order.” LSU could’ve ended this nonsense long ago by simply telling football players Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, and basketball player RJ Luis Jr., that even if they receive legal relief for eligibility, they’re not eligible to play for LSU.

But if the cheating filth did that they couldn't play this game of "we are just ignorant dipshits, ah shucks, we can't help if the players came up with this on their on, we had nothing to do with this. Why would we tell them they can't play if a judge says it's ok?"

Everyone can see this but the ignorant (willful and literal) LSU nutlickers.

And to the rest of the country it also looks like conduct unbecoming and insubordination. Bring the hammer Sankey. Time to put Lane and LSU to sleep.

We submitted a full roster of players and then there is this

Wade has continue to state he won’t roster Luis against SEC rules.

Then every other legal injunction that is allowing players to play in the SEC should be void as well.

your take is funny. in order to get to the truth you have to go deep into the weeds. LSU has not broken any SEC rules. if the SEC throws them out (which they won't) they will have a huge legal problem. currently, this is a pissing contest between lawyers. since LSU has broken no rules, Sanky is way out on a limb and his job is at stake and maybe more. in fact, the lawsuit in alabama doesn't even specify what rule LSU has violated.

it is the lawyers winning here; they work by the hour. look for some kind of a settlement. LSU cant apologize for anything they didn't do (whatever that was) so don't look for that. LSU's lawyers are laughing at Sankey and the SEC lawyers for a reason. For the SEC's sake, Stupid Sankey should have dropped that suit when LSU didn't roster those guys. then, and only then, could Sankey claim a victory. sadly for him, he missed his chance.

i invite you to do a deep dive but i warn you if you don't have a legal background, or at least have an understanding how to look up case precedent in the United States, you will go nuts. it's probably best to "bask in your ignorance" and just take others words for whats happening. and, by the way, your prejudice against LSU is already showing.

And more proof we WILL follow the rules. But no, kick us out lol

All the while, OM is getting hammered for tampering in basketball and football and currently are playing a twice ruled ineligibe QB. And we are the ones with LOIC? Gotta love this shite
