LSU is doing much better than expected. A loss is not that big a deal.
Bama still thinks they are elite and any loss is completely unacceptable. A 3rd loss this year might actually result in DeBoer's house being burned to the ground.

I seem to remember a game several years ago when we were shutting out fla late in the 4th and the announcers were talking about the streak. Then I think it was their final drive they were in the redzone with time running out, and instead of going for a TD like any respectable program would do....they went for a meaningless FG just to preserve the scoring streak. Weak sauce.

Right now it's any ACC, B10, B12, and Independent team in the Top 15. Just look at those schedules...

No SEC program should take any shite from any other conference. Just look at the schedules for these "top contenders" UCLA, Wake, Miami, ND, Utah, BYU, TT...I wish UGA could play any of their schedules instead of Bama, fla, OM, Mizzou, and SC. I guarantee nobody outside of the SEC would want to trade schedules with any SEC team.

Coaching is one of the few professions where results are public and obvious. You either win or you don't win. Deion is 18-25 at Colorado playing a lot of former Go5 teams...and the program is regressing. I like the guy, but he rode the coat-tails of two elite level players at JSU and his first year at Colorado. Now that he doesn't have Shadeur or Hunter, we see his true capabilities. He needs to be an assistant and recruiting director. He went straight to HC way too early. He's not meant to be a prime-time HC...yet. The classic Peter Principle in action.

No team looks amazing this year. What I do know is that UGA is loaded across the board and when it's clicking is absolutely unstoppable. Played a shitty game against a ranked hated rival and we were still up 24-0 at halftime (fla didn't even score till late in the 4th).
You have to know the second half will be a dud whenever Kirby takes a huge 1st half lead. That's Kirby-ball.
So, who is better this year? Miami, Indiana, Utah, UCLA... this is a crazy season and there will be more upsets. Embrace the chaos!
Some guys aren't meant to be head coaches. Bobo is one of them. So is Deion. FSU will go after the next rising hot-shot Go5 coach.

I think the bigger issue the NCAA and the SEC is trying to settle is who is in charge of NCAA and member conference rules enforcement? Do state courts actually have the authority to over-rule NCAA decisions? that is not something that can be settled out of court. I have a feeling this is going to the SC.
It's not really about Chambliss or the LSU players at all. It's about the authority of the governing body of college sports. If the court rules that state judges can overturn NCAA or conference decisions, then we might as well just get rid of the NCAA and Conferences altogether as they will be powerless to enforce regulations and every team will be managed by state authorities.

The NCAA/SEC ruled him ineligible, and still considers him ineligible. The whole argument is over who is in charge of college sports rules, the NCAA or state courts? The injunction by the state court prevents the NCAA from enforcing it's current eligibility decision while the lawsuit proceeds.
"The hearing for Chambliss followed his request for a sixth year of eligibility, which was denied by the NCAA on Jan. 9 and again on appeal Feb. 5. Ole Miss filed a request for reconsideration from the NCAA, claiming new evidence. That request was filed Monday and had also been denied."
"This decision in a state court illustrates the impossible situation created by differing court decisions that serve to undermine rules agreed to by the same NCAA members who later challenge them in court," the NCAA said in a statement."
