Agreed. The color of the skin does not matter. Pointing out race is often viewed as moral validation. I'm sure you didn't mean it the way it seemed. I think we agree though.

had a great similar conversation this week. Over a lawn mower part at Home Depot. Great guy and we both learned something and “became friends” on the spot. I’ll probably never see him again but I try to strike up conversations just to be kind and 95% of the time the people I speak to reciprocate.
Everything you just wrote is White Guilt

See Al Franken
This is what they did in Minnesota to elect Franken back about 2000.
After he lost the dems found 12k ballots in the trunk of a car. They counted em. Didn't even try to hide it. 90% for Franken

That's great for them, but it's those kinds of professions that will be able to afford that, unlike us peasants.
Both came from very modest backgrounds. One came from Cuba at age 17 (legally) and the other's father was a truck driver from east Tennessee. Both are self made.

I have friends (a PhD and an eye doctor) who are enrolling their multilingual five year-old in this school.

Russell Crow should have won the Oscar for A Beautiful Mind - 2001
One Golden Pond should have won the Oscar for Best Picture - 1981

Ummmmm…have you considered that your wife and he are more than friends..
She's never met the man.
My wife is the last woman on earth that would be unfaithful.
The friend in question was my frat big brother and frat roommate.
I think he thinks I'll judge him as he's not accomplished much in life.

Would it be weird if I contacted him just out of the blue like that?
I've located and reached out to numerous old friends all of whom I'd not had any contact with for 25+ years.
All but a couple were eager to reconnect. One college friend that I thought would immediately return my call, never did. I spoke with his sister who agreed to give him my contact info.
I don't do social media aside from LinkedIn for which I only have a presence.
My wife is friends with one of my former college friends. This friend has not been receptive to talking. This puzzles me as we good buds for several years.

As a fan of a school who had a coach leave us for a rival, I think you should get over it, like me. I am happy for Mike White, and appreciate his efforts while at UF.
You are welcome
You don't really believe White left of his own volition, do you?

WTF lol. The transformers movies have grossed over 5 BILLION dollars.
Virtually all the stunts including explosions (in Michael Bay's movies) are directed by Mike Gunther of 5150 Productions.
