LSU is one of the most unique brands in all of sports.
I think the state is the most historical, culturally rich and interesting.
You've got to address the campus decay.

Gainesville sucks too. Agreed.
My point is that LSU alums have already addressed the issue.

LSU campus and Baton Rouge as viewed by alumni.

Yes, this subject needs a dedicated thread.
In response to all the posters defending Baton Rouge and the campus as a selling point, I direct you to an 8 pg thread on The OT that directly speaks to how embarrassed LSU alums are of the current state of the campus and how ghetto and seemingly dangerous it has become. Countless alums won't allow their kids to attend LSU.
Is LSU really as ghetto as it seems in videos?

Dan Mullen's record as an SEC head coach is 54-53. He, Mark Stoops and James Franklin are the most overrated SEC HC's of the past 50 yrs.

To be fair, I graduated a top tier high school in 1995 and had to be re-taught in English 101 how to write a paragraph. I got a 20 on my first paper with a note from the grad assistant saying she was 'being nice'.
Public schools everywhere have been shite for 40-plus years.
Having said that, public school students who want to learn do so.
i was raised (along with all my siblings) in public schools. However, I transferred to a small Christian high school for the 11th and 12th grades.
The difference was black and white in terms of academic accountability. The difference was life-changing for me. So much so that I vowed to only send my kids to a small Christian school.
The result was incredible. I have one son who is a commercial pilot who scored a 48 on the Wonderlic and another who finished his MBA (finance) in 1/3 time. He interviewed with five companies and got four offers.
The key to educating the young is accountability and the ability to focus on academics. This only occurs if social issues and distractions are eliminated.

I can't even count the times I've had to cut off my seatbelt and bust out the car window with the head rest so as to not drown in my submerged car!!!

Oh and... Tennesseans didn't claim Memphis which is nothing like the rest of the state. Memphis is Memphis. A shite hole.
re: Healthcare costs make no sense ($11k for an FNA biopsy)

The charge is $11k but usual and customary will reduce the actual payment to approximately $2500. Of which you paid 1k.

Ask what the self-pay charge is and the real final reimbursement amount will be very close.
