I REALLY fricking hate Alabama. This is 100% a melt. I hate that whole shithole state. I hate the university, their trash arse fan base, and every inbred inhabitant of that shithole. I hate every sports team that represents that trash university. I hate their impotent midget football coach. I hate their classless POS basketball coach. Their baseball coach is cool. frick Bear Bryant’s racist arse. The only time I stop in Tuscaloosa is to take a shite. frick all of their championships, real and fake. There is nothing in this world I hate more than Alabama.

You're really not wrong. I'm amazed yall held them to the points you did. 3rd and long incompletions are pass interference or defensive holding calls 90% of the time.

An ironic post coming from the fanbase that gets protected all the time in their in-conference games.

Never thought I'd see the day where a damn shorthorn fan was complaining about the refs. Sippers have benefitted from dirty refs since the beginning of time itself. Bama had literally 3 times the number of penalties and that bunch of burnt orange pussies couldn't seal the deal. frick Texas, I hope,Austin is wiped from the face of the Earth

Because damn near every team in the SEC plays physical with the corners. And it goes both ways, receivers are going to push like crazy. There is going to be hand holding, jersey pulls etc.
100% truth.
If you watch the SCar @ Arkansas game from yesterday you'll see it on just about every play, and those two teams are historically middle-of-the-pack SEC teams. They let the DBs and WRs get away with a lot of physicality and pushing off, the lines get away with a lot of holding and late-ish hits, even some targeting and roughing the QB goes uncalled.
It's just a lot more physical, ground and pound play in the SEC

I will personally send all of my annual charitable donations to the REC
Simply for the pure joy I get from Texas fans bitching about the refs with not a single ounce of introspection

In the 90s, ESPN broke a little news story about an official memo from the SEC League Office. It said, TLDR, that all officials should keep in mind the rankings of teams in mind during the game. I'm not making that up. I was surprised, at the time, that ESPN didn't run with it more. I was naive back then, being twenty something and all.
It worked the other way in basketball. John Clougherty, the SECs favorite basketball official, stated more than once in interviews that he felt compelled to even the game up. Indiana's math department, and I think this is the bomb, did a study once about foul calls. Very simple - based upon the differential between total fouls - who will get called for the next foul.
The magic number is three. And close to half-time, that number will absolutely get close to even.

I believe those were B12 refs and yes they called 15 penalties on Bama. But Bama deserved every one plus a couple more. Most undisciplined Saban team I’ve seen. Hell Anderson had 3 himself.
The fiasco on the pass in the end zone, should have been a safety, was ridiculous. The missed face mask on Texas last drive forced the FG.
Get used to it Texas, it’s worse when Bubba from Demopolis is the head referee

Alabama was flagged more times in the game vs Texas than they have been in any game since 2002, but some folks still going to whine about the refs

Kool-Aid finally got called late in the game.

I've been watching this for a long, long, long, time.
You are correct.
They commit assault on damn near every play and seldom get called for anything.

I hate Texas, and was fully behind Alabama just embarrassing them. But even as an unobjective viewer, I was like, this officiating is really, really dirty.
Zero tears cried though. Texas has been the benefactor of filthy officiating for decades. Screw’em.
