There are, let's say, conservatively, 100,000 IRGC members left. That's almost assuredly several tens of thousands under the actual number. Those guys are fighters. They aren't gonna tuck tail and run home.
So, you're saying we should arm regular ol' Iranians. How many would we have to arm to have a fighting chance against 100,000 trained fighters? Twice as many? Three times? Five times? Let's say it's just double.
How in the hell are we gonna get 200,000 weapons and ammo into Iran?

Civilian Donald Trump made deals for himself, and without question, he made lots of good deals for himself. Those casinos of his that went bankrupt? He made out like a bandit on those "deals". The fraud that was Trump University? He made a fortune, even though he had to pay a $25 million fine for the fraud. On and on and on. If I deal went south, he'd declare bankruptcy and move to the next one, stiffing people along the way.
But President Donald Trump doesn't know how to make deals that benefit anyone else, and his only lens is does the deal make him look good/does it make him money?
Deciding to go to war with Iran isn't leveraging some building in Chicago and slapping his name on it for a licensing fee.
