Nobody is claiming they are a national powerhouse in everything but keep thinking they’re 3-9 Vandy forever & you’ll be very disappointed.
We all have to realize the NIL & portal has changed the game in the last 3 yrs. Even the Saban years are a different era today.

Vandy has a great portal strategy, plenty of $ & their days of being a doormat are over. I’m not claiming they’ll run the league but they’ll be all you want each game.

For various reasons, the talent “bank” Saban had during the middle years of his Alabama reign started to fall off. No longer did he have 4 tailbacks with NFL top round draft prospects or 4 #1 NFL WRs on one team. Some of his teams from 2009-2020 were ridiculously loaded. By the time Covid was over, talent started to spread out more inside the conference. The conference is stronger today than anytime during Saban’s years cause more teams are competing. Most of Saban’s time at bama it was only either LSU or Ga that could compete with Auburn occasionally catching them.
