I am 60.5 years old. I’ve paid into that shite since I was 15 years old. I’ve never in my life been unemployed since I started working. For these bastards to pull the run out from under me exactly at the time that I retire is unconscionable. I have other retirement savings plus two retirement pensions but, SS was a part of that calculation that I’ve had in place for a very long time.

They gave benefits out like candy for decades. They looted the SS Trust Fund. They created financial bubbles and massive inflation. This abject failure is 100% on the evil bastards who became career politicians.

One when I was 16 years old and had a fender bender where I rear ended the car in front of as they abruptly braked and turned right. Bi was following too closely to fully stop.

I’m 60 now. That ticket still irritates me. It wasn’t really my fault. The driver slammed on their brakes and didn’t signal. I’d say it was 50/50.

It was a great job that I had for close to six years. We had fun and worked hard. The chain mostly went out of business but there are still a few restaurants I think in Ohio. Kind of like Arby’s but much better food.

My brother was a Cold War era submariner nuke. He did quite well for himself after he left the Navy. Worked in industrial electrical systems and eventually municipal water for a very large metropolitan area.

I’m sitting in my beach house at St Augustine Beach as I type. I bought my small place during the Great Recession. It was a dump that I’ve slowly renovated. It’s still our vacation home. We’re close to retiring and maybe moving here full time and selling the house outside of Orlando.

I associate Ormond with the greater Daytona Beach area. That entire area has drastically improved in the last twenty or so years. It used to be kind of run down but it’s booming now. I’d say any place between Daytona and Ponta Verda Beach on the upper east coast of Florida is really good.

No matter where you go, the lifestyle in coastal Florida is fantastic. Just don’t be a Democrat if you move here. They’re not welcome.
