Any tax is government confiscation of earned wealth. I do not support any new taxes at any level, ever. Taxes prevent upward economic mobility. It makes all of us slaves.
This is far more reaching than Angola. There are all kinds of prison industries throughout the United States that rely on inmate labor. The Federal Bureau of Prisons uses UNICOR as their industrial labor to manufacture all kinds of products including office furniture for the entire Federal Government.
Being principled is one thing but voting against everything is ridiculous. That makes him a Democrat when their position is to obstruct everything.

I occasionally go into the Orange County Jail for my work. That place is packed full of ICE detainees. I’ve never seen that jail so packed. They are held for up to three days and then ICU must either take them away or move them to another facility and then book them back in.
It’s unconstitutional. Remember the Sheriff at the high school in Palm Beach County, Florida. The same thing was attempted with him and the Supreme Court case that said police do not have a duty to protect citizens with their lives.
Although the officers didn’t respond ethically, it wasn’t illegal. There is no obligation for law enforcement to sacrifice their life.

The people of that country have screwed America since I was 14 years old. Iran has a tremendous amount of American blood on their hands. I do not think we should have any involvement other than containing them.
It’s great if they self determine that they want freedom and a democratically elected government. Good for them but that’s their battle to fight not ours.

This is exactly why I’m in the process of going back to vinyl and CD’s for my most cherished music. We’ve been duped into renting our music for a small monthly fee. It’s been great but these companies will do everything they can to squeeze customers as far as they’re willing to go.
I’d love to see the 70’s style home stereos come back into fashion.

Fun fact about me. I’ve stood in that doorway where the crews are always photographed just prior to being driven out to the launch pad. Just inside is the room where they are suited up. I’ve also been there. The second story of the building are apartments that they live in for a week prior to liftoff. They’re very dated 80’s with no windows or outside contact to the world.
