OU Softball would smash Arkansas and it wouldn't even be close. Maybe next year.

OU lost the first game by a couple of hits, but closed the series out by destroying Georgia the second game.
Arkansas still needs to pass Alabama and Florida in the rankings, LOL....

Congrats on the obscure fairy tale title I guess.
Also, I honestly doubt the NCAA does anything regarding the football team since no completive advantage was gained. I'm more concerned about the fed's investigation being that it's a title ix issue.

I am a Bama first and a Hog fan second ( Bama Alum and had family play for the Hogs.) The 64 title was rewarded to Bama in two polls and the 64 title was rewarded to Hogs in one. This also happened before bowl games were even played based off of voting lol. Hogs finished undefeated and Bama lost on their Bowl. It should go to the Hogs in my book.

Truth be told I think Arkansas would benefit greatly in wins at the cost of financial gains if they moved to the Big12. Football recruiting has gone nuclear in the last 15 years and schools like Arkansas who have very little in state talent have to have direct pipelines into Texas and Louisiana, etc. I think they’d have way more success in football if they were in the Big12 and didn’t have to compete with A&M, LSU, Bama for all the surrounding talent.

Dang, I didn’t know it was that bad historically. For some reason I thought Arkansas was a good football program like 20 years ago

OU has the #103 ranked SOS in softball. Easy to get that many wins when everyone you play sucks. Funny, you play a pretty good team at Georgia and you split 1-1.LOL!

How would switching conferences prevent us from recruiting against those teams though? We currently recruit right with Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina and basically everyone else in the mid-lower half of the SEC in the 20-30 range. I don't think we'd ever recruit in the top 10 no matter what happened, we just have to have a coach who is good at developing and can win around 8 games a year and that's fine. It's when we hire guys like Chad Morris who go 2-10 that's ridiculous.

Nutt had a lot of 9-4 type seasons, and we've typically been terrible in bowls so we never reached that final win to get to 10 quite a few times. Petrino did it twice in four years though.
From the 60's-80's we were a top 10 program most years but they didn't play as many regular season games back then so it was harder to get to 10.
