Clocks weren’t prepared to handle the year 2000 and when the clock struck midnight the world would end.

No one said the world would end.

But without intervention, there were tons of systems using 2 digit dates that would have thought "1900" instead of "2000."

Imagine your banking system suddenly thinking you had a payment that was 100 years overdue, and tacking on interest and late fees. That's just one of a multitude of scenarios, some of which could have been life threatening.

It wasn't a rocket science fix, but it had to be done at scale, costing billions and billions of dollars.

There's cases where people go to vegas and put their whole life on Red. I could never do that.

But I would bet EVERYTHING that I know how she votes.
That's awesome. That way 90% of the population will have no skin in the game and vote on how to spend the other 10%'s money.

It's like that now, but more like 50/50.

Guaranteed that the government bought Chevies have all of this deleted.
It is an electric version of the very first Datsun/Toyota ultra basic trucks.

Nothing wrong with that. At all.

I'm getting there. If it's not the people talking the entire time, it's that one tone deaf waif behind me screaming the lyrics out of tune.

I'm all for people having a good time and singing but the audiences have devolved.

Let’s just make ping pong on a slightly larger scale

Ping pong requires more skill and finesse than pickleball.

CRV or a RAV 4,

CRV has a CVT. And a turbocharged engine.

I'd go for a Mazda CX5 or CX50 (not the turbo variants). That 2.5 is super reliable and they have "ancient" 6 speed autos.

Whelp I was not expecting this. I'm assuming this happened in the game.

Not on the level of Dead Ned or the red wedding but surprising nonetheless. I assumed girl boss was going to (improbably) save him.

I don't find the mousy little villain to be very credible.

It’s not good, never thought a zombie style story could be so boring.

It occurred to me that I'd already seen most of this in The Walking Dead.

Which turned into its own dumpster fire right around the time Negan showed up (the actor sucked).
The Great Depression created the Greatest Generation.

Not saying I want another one. But hard times forge hard men.

Levy said the story is set a few years after the events of Episode 9 (The Rise of Skywalker). The movie will be a standalone and feature new characters.

Been saying this for years. Needs to be a whole new story with whole new characters, but in the same universe.

The sequels just bent way over backwards trying to tie into the original trilogy.
Ryan, please don't bring your puffy Barbie/Fall guy cheeks to this. It's embarrassing.

For all his 'antics', off set, his Scientology, no one can say he's not a consummate professional when it comes to perfecting his craft and putting everything into making the very best he can.

I don't know about most likeable...but I didn't know he did this MTV show in character, and that's funny as hell.

I do agree with this assessment. He's probably the biggest and most RELIABLE movie start of my generation. His batting average on watchable, entertaining, high quality movies is very high.

I just wish he'd taken more chances. He should have won several oscars and was ignored.

Why are so many male nurses and flight attendants gay?

Excluding real barbers, any dude that works in a salon.

I’m not sure who’s more annoying, the teenagers from season one of white lotus or these two chicks

I'm happy to be annoyed.
Shawshank. A perfectly fine movie. It just doesn't belong with the greats.

Cool. Then no reason for y’all to keep watching and bitching in these threads.

Meh. I might hate-watch it and still bitch in these threads. Probably won't provide the fodder that Yellowstone did. But we're talking about HBO, who used to produce great shows.

Maybe Hacks will be ok. We'll always have Sopranos, BoB, Chernobyl, etc.

Bella Ramsey could quite possibly be one of the worst casting choices when provided with source material in the history of recording professional pretenders

cashing in on that 15 minutes from Game of Thrones. I was thinking tonight: I hope she's saving her money.

Not sure it is good when the main character of your show is someone that the audience wishes would get killed.

Spunky precocious lesbian girl hear me roar watch me take down this man twice my size girl.

I too was hoping she would get offed going into that abandoned store.

HBO just can't help themselves.

Why were people like Linda Hamilton more believable?
