re: Is Michigan a tier 2 program?

Michigan will always remain a blue blood program.

The next program that’s very close to blue blood status is Georgia, their dominance as of late is impressive.

It’s going to be tough for the Sooners beat Bama twice in one season.

In the last game, OU beat Bama by forcing turnovers.

There are definitely aspects that will favor OU (Defense, Special Teams, Kicker, defensive coaching, home field advantage) but Bama has an elite offense with elite wide receivers and will be looking for a revenge game. Hard to call.
It's definitely not sad, as they had their run.

re: Texas and Oklahoma, any regrets?

I love the SEC.

Every week feels like a bowl game and each win matters heavily, more so than the Big 12.

OU benefits more in the SEC with the SEC network coverage, more TV views, and more respect from national media.

I appreciate SEC schedules. OU has had more home games per season and it’s only year 2.

Not much more to say as everyone here understands the competitiveness and brutality in the SEC every week.

No regrets.

You’re right and he probably will, but at least it will be a home game in Norman against Notre Dame.

I like OUs chances in that one.

Texas fans are confused…..

It’s simple math boys. You’re not going to the playoff.

Texas lost to 4-8 Florida and your record is 9-3. Losing to a 4-8 team matters.

Remember when Oklahoma State lost to unranked Iowa State in 2011 in double overtime on the road and Bama jumped them in final BCS standings?
1. After the 2021 Oklahoma State win, all was well when I bedded down that evening.

However during the wee hours of the night, coach Riley and half our coaching staff hopped on a plane and departed to Los Angeles without warning. OU fans were shocked, Stoops jumped in and coached the win against Oregon, and Caleb Williams departed shortly after.

Riley’s departure felt like multiple gut punches.

2. Ole Miss is having an amazing season while their head coach is actively interviewing for jobs. I’d imagine the vibe between the President, AD, and Kiffin is awkward and tense. These interviews are probably on players minds as well. If you’re committed to Ole Miss, why not just say so? At least it gives the AD time to find a replacement.

With Lincoln, the pain and shock was sudden. With Lane, you’ll have to wait until the Egg Bowl, receive the pain slowly bit by bit, and hope he perceives Ole Miss better than LSU and Florida.
Lost respect for this dude after he whined about Mike Gundy’s comments which ultimately contributed to his firing.
Don’t listen to these OU fans, literally everyone from Oklahoma has a sibling/cousin/uncle who’s an OSU fan. Bedlam has been around our entire lives.

Yes Bedlam is lopsided towards OU and doesn’t compare to say the RRS, but it was good for the state.

I personally miss it and would like to see it brought back as a permanent out of conference game.

I hate seeing the state and direction Oklahoma State is currently in because again, I support the state as a whole. A healthy Bedlam and competitive OSU is good for the state.
Muzzle should hire Chase Daniel.

You’re on the something.

Big 10 football is very boring to watch. Just something about Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, just atrocious football.

Give me Michigan over Ohio State any day.
Haha we’ll have to wait and see.
Remember when Oklahoma State got screwed for losing to unranked Iowa State in overtime back in 2011?

The Cowboys were punished and left out of the BCS championship while Bama squeaked their way in.

Bama always gets the benefit of the doubt.

Same thing when LSU got screwed back in 2013 I believe. LSU competed in the SEC championship while Bama sat out and had extra time to rest and game-plan. The end result was Bama beat LSU in the national Championship game, even though LSU had beaten them earlier in the season.

If Bama gets left out of the playoffs this year, who cares. Should have beaten unranked FSU.

Speaking of FSU, they were screwed out of the championship just recently despite being undefeated.
Go whine somewhere else. Bye’s are a part of the game.
Florida.

After watching LSUs antics with the Brian Kelly contract situation, I would not go to that school based on principle.

There’s talent all over Louisiana and there’s especially talent all over Florida.

Already making excuses. Ridiculous.

What OU and Texas bring to the SEC are must watch football games.

Literally every conference game is must watch and it’s been an awesome change so far.
You mean Oklahoma forced three turnovers against the Tide, don’t get it twisted.
He is the best coach in the game today.

And the Georgia offense is a sight to see, it’s refreshing seeing a team line up and pound the football from under center.

Wish OU would go back to the old days offensively.
