I don't know. Bielema and Illinois has had some recent short-term success. We will see if he can sustain it in the future.

The Landscape of college football has completely changed since 1964. You can't really make that comparison going that far back.
If conference championships are what you are going by and you are going to go that far back, then you have to take into account ALL conference championships won by those schools regardless of conference which makes his point mute.
