If this is just the bachelors, I'm here to tell you as a subject matter expert that a Bachelors in Econ is meaningless to this discussion. Both in knowledge and in perception. Absolutely nobody respects an undergrad econ degree. Finance would be better, but still largely irrelevant. If he has a family history or a pre-football history that I'm unaware of of having to interact with big money, then that would be more relevant.
It's going to come down to whether he can sell the Arkansas Football product as a good investment. Either in terms of actual return or in terms of social return.
I have a BA in Economics. It's pretty meaningless. That's why I transitioned to tech. I didn't want the extra seven years to make economics education viable.

This is a board for discussing Arkansas Athletics. Football season is on the cusp of starting. We suck and have for a while.
Therefore it's not unreasonable to discuss how we have sucked and anticipate further sucking on the board designated for discussing Arkansas athletics.
That doesn't mean a negative attitude and it certainly doesn't mean said attitude is "affecting" any of us. I generally don't think about the Hogs unless I'm bored and make the message board circuit. (Which in its own way is a little sad because this time in years past my thoughts would have been dominated by the upcoming season.)

If I had to choose, I guess Venables, Golding, and Sumrall. Though Sumrall vs Golesh is mostly a toss up. I fully expect both to fail spectacularly.
Heupel and Venables are both solid coaches. But Heupel doesn't seem to know how to take the next step. The jury is still out on whether Venables does. I'd rather roll the dice than accept I'll never be great.
Drink is washed up. Similar logic to the above. I'll choose the guy who still has some potential over the guy who seems to have shown his ceiling.

I never really cared about the outcome. And it's not because of losing so much. I DO care about the A&M game. But Missouri is boring and hard to get up for.
