My parents are Tennessee fans, but I grew up in Arkansas. I was a default Vols fan for a while until I realized I'd never even set foot in Knoxville and my home is here. That was when I was about 13 or 14.

Well I'm just talking about the ungodly amount of money being burned for nothing in college football. The first million dollar coach was as recent as 95. Now about every one of them is in the millions, the big schools are in the tens of millions, they get fired quicker, and have massive buyouts. Not counting NIL and the facilities arms race.
Boosters are going to get tapped. And I predict that when it happens at a big name program or two, it's going to domino rapidly throughout the entire sport.

If so, they're killing the golden goose. The die hards I know irl from all fan bases are losing interest due to all the antics in the sport. Those are the guys who actually buy gear and attend games and have expensive streaming packages, rather than the casuals who might watch a youtube video sometimes.
I feel you and I'm not even directly affected. But the off the field stuff with LSU in general has grown tired as all hell already.
