How would switching conferences prevent us from recruiting against those teams though? We currently recruit right with Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina and basically everyone else in the mid-lower half of the SEC in the 20-30 range

Arkansas generally finishes 20-25 in recruiting rankings, which is good for about 10th in the SEC. in the Big12 they’d be finishing in the top 5 with that class. Use 2019 as an example. Arkansas had the 20th ranked class (9th in SEC). They would’ve had the 3rd ranked class in the Big12. Add on a weaker schedule and Arkansas has a real chance at contending year in and year out in the Big12 with the right coach.

As long as you aren't the best FB program...sure.

Florida hasn't been relevant since Tebow.

Perhaps a move to the ACC should be in order.Might be able to finish second each year to Clemson.

UF has been in the SEC 3 times these past 7 years or so.

Your Hogs are schedule filler at best.

We can certainly do better in the recruiting rankings but joining a Texas conference after leaving them 30 years ago will not solve our current problems.

Not at all. We spent over 70 years in the SWC and the corruption was so much that we were ready to leave.

This is the reason why we couldn't win more in the SWC and the Big 12 will do the same thing.

Pass interference

That penalty cost Arkansas the league title as SMU kicked a field goal for a tie. Arkansas was an outsider in the old SWC and the Texas teams huddled up and made sure Arkansas wouldn't ever get a leg up in the conference.

Arkansas would be treated the same in the Big 12 and would get screwed in games just like the video I posted above.

We have nothing to gain by joining another Texas conference.

We use just to get a lot of players from Texas when we were in the SWC. But when we left, we didn't recruit Texas as much and the talent suffered.

Arkansas had a good chance of winning 10 plus games in 98,99,02,03 and 07 but they were poorly coached by Nutt so that was only dreaming.

Bert had loaded teams in 14 and 15 but he was a drunk and so they weren't ever going to win any games with his poor game decisions.

We have talent but they are poorly coached and very raw compared to other states. We just don't develope our players at the high school level.

All Little Rock cares for is basketball.

But how is your equestrian team and bass fishing? How about cheerleading?

We can do better but we just have to leave the better coaches to themselves. We have a terrible habit of meddling.

Nutt had his chances but always blew it under pressure unlike Petrino who thrived in that environment.

Historically we have been bad in bowls because when we played in the cotton bowls, we played the best teams in the nation. We didn't play in the John Deere bowl games with the likes of Marshall or East Carolina.

Now Nutt coached in bowl games where his teams were more talented such as against UNLV, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

But Nutt was more worried a bout texting on his phone than trying to prevent two of the worst bowl losses in school history.

State of Arkansas consolidation of high schools in the early 00s killed a lot of player development.

Should have won more in 2006. 2007 team was a 10 win team as well. The 2009 team was two controversial games away from a 9-3 regular season finish.

Bobby would have improved from a seven win program a year to a eight win average a year. That doesn't seem like very much but we would compete more and win more bowls as evidence by the superior coaching than Nutt with the East Carolina and Kansas State wins.

Not on average but that is very tough for most college football teams to do each year. We can certainly improve to an 8 or even a 9 win average.

We had the potential of having 10 seasons of 10 wins or more. But bad coaching and terrible hires prevented that from happening. That doesn't seem like much in the SEC for the last 30 years but it gives evidence that Arkansas can do better.

I would take the under. Arkansas has done better in bowls under Petrino and Bert where we finally matched up against teams that are less talented than we are.

That trend will continue to get better in bowls under Pittman.

We could claim the 77 title.

Poor hires had a lot to do with it.
