The 2 teams on the upswing are OU and Aggie…….
Ga and Tx would need a QB injury to not be in or very close to being in the CCG.

Texas would be better off with a QB injury. Their backup has played better than the starter in his limited snaps

With the returning starters on offense and a healed throwing hand, Mateer just needs to be a game manager. OU's OL was a problem the last 3 years. Finally we have experienced talent + depth there, along with actual TE's and an actual TE coach (also been missing for 3+ years)

Georgia and Texas are the only 2 teams capable of winning the SEC because it is a top-heavy league with only 2 good teams.

You don’t even know what “all the pieces” looks like and no A&M does not have it.
You have JAGs spread throughout your two deep… but within the self enclosed vacuum that A&M fans live in, average players have been elevated to hero status.
A&M has SOME talent at spots. They most certainly do not have all the pieces. To even suggest it is ludicrous but also typical… “I wish it was true” started to become the “the Truth” before summer workouts even began.

A&M couldn’t even get a touch down in playoffs and with losing their best receiver and a new OL, they are taking a step back. They’ll be in the talk for most of the year with their easy schedule but we all know the November crash is inevitable.

If the SEC was a well-run conference they'd use an algorithm to generate the schedules. Give teams one matchup they could plan a date, like the Iron Bowl in late November. Enter the other constraints for 3 permanent, 12 rotating every other year, home vs away, etc, and let the computer make the schedule. Once the SEC schedule for a season is set, then let teams fill in the blanks with OOC opponents. That would end the questions about how schedules are decided.

It's definitely not Tennessee.
Definitely not the team with the number 4 preseason ranked offense and one of the top offensive lines in the country and two 5* QBs to choose from and a much improved defense.
It's definitely not the team that even with that crappy defense last year had you on the ropes until they inexplicably missed a gimme field goal.
Definitely not Tennessee.

We're returning arguably the top QB/RB combo in the nation and our new OC JDB was Co-OC at Ole Miss with Charlie Weis Jr for 2 seasons before taking over the reigns at ECU for 2 seasons and now he is back. Oklahoma and Ole Miss. Both are strong at QB. Both schools play UGA & Texas and face off with each other. Head to head tie breakers could make the difference for who gets to play in Atlanta.

Ole Miss could have the best QB and RB in the country, a good group of WRs, and a defense that is somewhere between scrappy and outright good depending on the week. I would put them up there with Georgia and Texas.
