These numbers need to be normalized for platform(s). Network (over the air) broadcasts always have much higher viewer numbers in comparison to cable/streaming (paid watching). I don't know what the history of the bama-Lsu game is but if in past years it was shown on ABC and this year on ESPN, that would explain the difference.
