Not really sure what were arguing about here. LSU and Texas both have incredible baseball tradition. As a Texas fan I like seeing my team playing LSU, feels right. As a college baseball fan it's basically Yankees vs Red Sox... please take metaphor on face value and dont dive in

Texas will not accept. We only claim Championships that fall in line with extreme mainline norms. Therefore we claim championships we dont deserve (1970 undefeated regular season but lost to Notre Dame in Cotton Bowl) and disregard 10 undefeated seasons far more worthy which someone (other than the associated press) claims texas was national champion

Yes! Drawn in like a moth to the flame.
Techno,
question for ya, which SEC team has the 2nd biggest national championship trophy case ya think? And what do you think is the square footage?

OP,
Great post. However youre not going to get appreciation/understanding here. Even though they do understand and they know it.
Enjoy the ride, it's just getting started

Well Texas has more national championships than any school in the SEC so... swing and a miss (to make this baseball related)

Naw, ya'll got us this weekend... with our Friday starter out and possibly missing most productive pieces to the lineup (which is above average at best anyway)... I got razorbacks winning 2-1

Both teams suck. A&M wilted under pressure for the umpteenth time, and Texas required ump cheating to win again and again. Pathetic baseball all around. But what else does one expect from loser Texans

It most certainly is not. Unless it’s the greatest long-play alter in the history of tigerdroppings
OP was drunk, up late, and high on the DH win against Arkansas. Logged on (after disappearing when Texas beat A&M in football). And made a prediction he now regrets

Tell us more about Texas though, you know you want too…

You posted a 10 year draft record.. and are chiding a poster for correcting you bc he “isn’t following 2 year subject headline”?
re: Arkansad drops a third straight series

I would bet the farm that Arkansas takes the series 2-1 vs Texas. I’m a Texas fan. Makes too much sense… especially with Texas coming off a hard-fought/tight series with a rival and Arkansas needing to right the ship while in front of a great home crowd
Like I said, makes too much sense…

And statistically likely they will drop one of those series
That said, this is a mentally tough Texas team. They have shown they have what it takes to do post season damage. This series helped mold that even more.
Keep in mind this past weekend Texas had just lost their ace (unknown if coming back) and was missing some hitting pieces that should be available for post season.

A&M is a really solid team, do not want to play again
At least if it happens, Texas should have their best two hitters in the lineup, so there’s that
Aggies gave UT their toughest conference series to date even if it was a sweep… nothing to feel down about. If I was LSU I would be very concerned, they HAVE to take that series… and they’re playing well enough to do it

2 of Texas’ 12 draft picks were portal players, inflated?
And those 2 had career years as Longhorns… sounds like development
Other 10 were developed at Texas
Texas is just getting started if we’re being honest

While we’re on the topic of records…
Texas set all-time ncaa record for most draft picks in consecutive seasons (23). Georgia takes over spot #2 as well with their last two draft classes (21 drafted)

Some are acting like Ewers had a bad year… and projecting to suggest manning not beating him out means he’s no good
Ewers had a very good season for a college qb also while banged up (if Manning had put up similar numbers as a redshirt freshman he would be lock for heisman favorite rn)… there were rumors of locker room favoring manning as better qb last year but I think both were prob pretty close to equal in ability… coaches favored experience and installed offense over long term potential and that makes sense
2024 year was always going to be Ewers’ final run as qb1 for the longhorns and 2025 was always going to be Manning’s first year running the show.
Last seasons QB performance has nothing really to do with it one way or the other. Though some bad coaching decisions in final seconds did cost Texas chances at sec title and playing in national title game

No that’s kind of the point, Texas has not always had NFL talent, and the numbers back that up, now they do, and they’re winning
